Save $20 on the Latest Echo Dot for Cyber Week — now $30

Amazon Echo Dot (4th Gen) on table
John Velasco / Digital Trends

If you were hoping to score a discount on an Echo device for Cyber Week, the good news is that you still have time to take advantage of the Amazon Cyber Week deals. The fourth-generation Echo Dot, which was released in September, is already part of the annual sale with a $20 discount, bringing the smart speaker’s price down to $30 from its original price of $50.

Digital Trends’ best smart speakers for 2020 tags this version of the fourth-generation Echo Dot with a clock as the year’s best cheap smart speaker. The version on sale eschews the time display in order to offer the device at an even lower price, which is brought  down even further by Amazon’s $20 discount. If you want to enjoy the immense value that this smart speaker brings to your home over the holidays, you should click that Buy Now button as soon as you can.

For the fourth-generation Echo Dot, Amazon replaces the puck design with an attention-grabbing spherical shape, but not at the expense of audio quality. The sound produced by the device, through a 1.6-inch front-firing speaker that delivers crisp highs and a full-sounding bass, is impressive for its size.

The Echo Dot still delivers the conveniences provided by Amazon’s Alexa. The digital assistant is capable of acting on voice commands for a variety of functions, including playing songs from a range of streaming services, answering questions, and controlling connected smart home devices, among many other features. The Echo Dot also offers Alexa Guard, which can send you mobile alerts if it detects noise such as a smoke alarm or breaking glass if you let Alexa know that you’ll be leaving the house.

There’s no problem if you want to take a look at other Cyber Week Amazon Echo deals, to make sure that you’re buying the right model. However, it will be hard to find another offer that provides better value than Amazon’s $20 discount on the fourth-generation Echo Dot, which lowers the smart speaker’s price to $30 from its original price of $50.

More Amazon Echo deals available now

If you’re not sold that the latest version of the Echo Dot is the perfect addition to your home, we’ve gathered the best Amazon Echo offers that are still available as part of this year’s Cyber Week deals to help you with your decision on which smart speaker to buy.

Amazon Fire 7 -- $40, was $60

If you want what's arguably the cheapest tablet that's still worth your money, you want a Fire tablet. The Amazon Fire 7 is the cheapest of Amazon's cheap tablets. It's not going to set the world on fire in terms of performance or display quality, but it gives you easy access to tons of apps, you can watch videos and browse the web on it, and -- of course -- it's fine for reading books and magazines. It's not a bad little device to consider getting if you have a Prime account, as it'll let you take full advantage of your membership benefits. If you can up your budget just a bit, though, then the Fire HD 8 might be a better buy.

Dell 24-Inch Monitor -- $80, was $150

Dell got its start making desktop PCs, so it's only natural that the brand also puts out some great desktop monitors, too. After all, a desktop PC tower is little more than an expensive office decoration without a display, and the Dell SE2422H 1080p monitor shows that you don't have to even spend more than a Benjamin to get a good one. At 24 inches, it's a great size for productivity, and its anti-glare coating and ComfortView technology (which reduces harsh blue light) makes it comfortable to work on all day. Dell Cyber Monday deals knock it down to an unbeatable price.
