Save $80 on the Ring Doorbell Pro at Amazon today

The holidays are upon us, but retailers have not yet stopped rolling out discounts for different kinds of smart home devices, including Ring doorbell deals. If you’re planning to invest in a video doorbell, you should take a look at Amazon’s offer for the Ring Video Doorbell Pro that slashes $80 off its price, bringing it down to just $170 from its original price of $250.

The Ring Video Doorbell Pro, which utilizes existing doorbell wiring for installation and non-stop power, is equipped with a 1080p HD camera for a clear view of who or what is outside your front door. You can also communicate with people outside your door from smartphones, tablets, PCs, and select Echo devices through the Ring app.

You can set up the app to notify you if someone comes up to your door, or if motion is detected in the zones that you have selected. You can also link your Ring account to Amazon’s Alexa, to enable hands-free monitoring with doorbell notifications on Echo devices and a live view of the Ring Video Doorbell Pro’s camera if your Echo device has a screen.

When comparing the Ring Video Doorbell 3 and Ring Video Doorbell Pro, the main advantage of the latter is Advanced Pre-Roll, which automatically records six seconds of full color, high-definition video with full sound before a motion event is triggered. The extra security provided by this feature is invaluable, even if you need to sign up for a Ring Protect subscription in order to gain access to it. The subscription also stores videos for up to 60 days, in case you need to look back on previously recorded footage.

With features that will provide you both convenience and peace of mind, the Ring Video Doorbell Pro already provides great value at its original price of $250. However, Amazon is selling the video doorbell with an $80 discount to lower its price to $170, in a deal that’s hard to ignore. It’s unclear how long the offer will last, so even if you won’t get the Ring Video Doorbell Pro by Christmas, you should click that Buy Now button as soon as you can for the chance to get it during the holiday season.
