Fortnite challenge guide: Collect cookbooks from Pleasant Park and Craggy Cliffs

Season 5, week 14 of Fortnite is underway, meaning there are a new set of challenges for you to check out. For the most part, week 14 features a relatively straightforward list of challenges — many of which you can complete with little to no assistance. However, there are a couple that might cause some issues if you don’t know where to go. The first one you’ll likely have trouble with requires you to collect four cookbooks from Pleasant Park and Craggy Cliffs.

As is typical, the game doesn’t specify all the cookbook locations, which is where we come in. Oddly enough, the challenge is worded incorrectly. You don’t have to find cookbooks at both locations. Instead, as long as you find four across one or both areas, you’ll get credit for completing the challenge. In this guide, we’ll show you where to find cookbooks to complete this season 5, week 14 Fortnite challenge.

Where to find cookbooks from Pleasant Park and Craggy Cliffs

In total, there are 10 cookbooks scattered across both locations. To complete this challenge, you only need to find four of them — and any combination will do. In fact, you don’t need to visit both locations at all. Simply land at either Pleasant Park or Craggy Cliffs and grab four cookbooks to complete the challenge.

The other thing to know is that there is no prerequisite for starting this challenge. During season 5, many challenges have prerequisites that must be finished first before moving on, but this is the first stage, so you can jump into it right away. Aside from that, you should know that this challenge does not need to be completed in one match (though it can be done in one match relatively easily). Your progress carries over, so don’t worry if you die before getting all four cookbooks.

Below, we’ll list the locations of all 10 cookbooks, so feel free to grab them in any order you like.

Pleasant Park

Most of the cookbooks at Pleasant Park are found in the kitchens of houses. We recommend landing on the west side of this area. Then, make your way north, hitting all the houses along the side. The map below (courtesy of Fortnite.gg) has more details.

Craggy Cliffs

The cookbooks at Craggy Cliffs are a bit more spread out, but can still be collected quickly. Reference the map below (thanks, Fortnite.gg) for more specifics.

Once you’ve collected your fourth cookbook, you’ll earn credit for completing the challenge, along with 40,000 XP for your troubles. Not too bad for a few minutes of work!

Fortnite performance guide: best settings, fps boost, and more
Fortnite man.

Fortnite continues to be one of the most popular games in the world, with a strong competitive scene, and like any competitive game, players want every possible advantage they can get. One of the best ways to improve your chances of winning is to tweak the game's settings so it runs at higher frame rates, lowering your input lag and helping you to react faster.

Fortnite is a slightly more demanding esport than some of its older rivals, but that just means there's more scope for performance improvements if you select the right settings. Here are the most important performance-enhancing tweaks you can make to Fortnite.

Where to find Vendetta Flopper in Lego Fortnite
Characters fishing in LEGO Fortnite.

The fishing update to Lego Fortnite added, you guessed it, the ability to fish once you've made yourself a rod. Of course, since fish didn't exist in the game before this, an entire school of undersea life needed to be created. Every fish you can catch has a different benefit, from restoring a bunch of health when you eat it to giving you some kind of buff. The rarest and most useful fish is certainly the Vendetta Flopper, making it the most coveted catch in the game. While fishing is still heavily dependent on luck, you won't even have a chance at this fish unless you know where to cast your line.
Where to find the Vendetta Flopper

Before you even attempt to attempt this legendary catch, make sure you're ready with an Epic fishing rod and Epic Bait Bucket to give yourself the best chance at a rare catch. The nest step is to only cast into the glowing purple zones that indicate the presence of rare fish. Fishing in any other part of the water won't yield the Vendetta Flopper we're after.
