Waze finally adds Apple Music to its audio player

Waze has finally gotten around to integrating Apple Music. The new feature comes a whole five years after the popular navigation app did the same for Spotify, and means Apple Music subscribers can now access all of their favorite content via Waze’s built-in audio player.

Waze’s audio player lets you link to your favorite audio streaming service so you can control your music without having to fiddle around switching between apps, enabling safer driving.

“Starting today, Apple Music will seamlessly integrate with Waze, so you can keep your eyes on the road while enjoying the ride,” the company said in a blog post announcing the news.

It added: “With a direct connection between the apps, you can now access Apple Music content directly from the Waze audio player. Enjoy more than 90 million songs, tens of thousands of curated playlists, Apple Music Radio, and more while you navigate. We’re thrilled to join forces with Apple Music to bring Apple Music subscribers their tunes while driving with Waze on iPhone.”

Waze automatically detects compatible music apps on your device and displays the audio player icon (a white music note on a pink circle) on the map. If you can’t see it, make sure you have it turned on by going to My Waze and then Settings. Select Audio player and turn on Show audio player.

Besides Apple Music and Spotify, compatible music apps for Waze also include Amazon Music, Deezer, iHeartRadio, Pandora, and YouTube Music, among others.

Snapchat is giving Snap Map a musical makeover. The company has announced Now Playing, a new feature that lets users share the music they're listening to in real time directly on Snap Map. Launching first with Spotify, the integration allows friends to discover each other's favorite tracks, save songs, and jump straight into Spotify without leaving Snapchat. The feature is rolling out now in regions where both Snapchat and Spotify are available, with Canada set to receive it soon.

While OnePlus may have exited the US and Europe, the brand is still alive in its home market and is already working on its next flagship smartphone. A fresh leak from Chinese tipster Digital Chat Station has now revealed more details about the OnePlus 16, including its design and a revised launch timeline.

The tipster previously claimed that the phone would arrive in September 2026, but the latest information points to an October launch in China (via Gizmochina). Samsung just gave foldable fans a wider 4:3 canvas with the Galaxy Z Fold 8. But that still isn't enough screen for the company. Samsung has reportedly begun early development of a successor to the Galaxy Z TriFold, its dual-hinged phone that unfolds into something much closer to a proper tablet.

According to Korean publication ETNews, Samsung has already shared information about the next-generation project with suppliers, but its final specifications have yet to be decided. One detail should immediately grab the attention of anyone who buys a foldable primarily for its display. A source familiar with the project told ETNews that Samsung is currently targeting a screen size similar to the original TriFold.
