To celebrate the 75th anniversary of the original BMW 328 roadster of the 1930’s, BMW has unveiled their incomparable 328 Hommage Concept car. Focusing on some of the key features adorning this Bavarian beauty, the 328 Hommage employs a straight six-cylinder powerplant and iconic kidney-shaped BMW grille stretched upright in dramatic fashion. The interior and exterior of the 328 are comprised heavily of carbon-fiber-reinforced plastic and features no doors, only deep recesses for would-be passengers to enter in and out of.

Elegantly gracing the inside of the 328 Hommage are fine leather, matte and high-gloss black polished aluminum. Additionally, the 328 features, or doesn’t depending on your take, a sparse instrument panel that is dominated by only one round instrument-and a redesigned rev counter with other useful information such as oil temperature, oil pressure, and water temperature.

No specific powertrain details have been revealed apart from 3.0-liter engine under the hood. It can be assumed, however, that with the ultra lightweight carbon fiber body–weighing in at just 1,719 pounds–335 horsepower and 332 pound-feet of torque twin-turbocharged mill from the 2011 BMW 1-Series M Coupe, the 328 has the potential to be a rocket off the blocks.

Boring EVs caught a break as Americans lose Polestar
polestar-3-ev

Polestar, the Swedish EV brand controlled by China’s Geely, has been denied authorization under the US Connected Vehicle Rule. As a result, it will not be able to sell vehicles in the US from the 2027 model year onward. The company is not disappearing from American roads overnight. Polestar says it will continue selling existing US inventory of the Polestar 3 and Polestar 4, and current owners will still have access to service support. But for future models, the door is effectively closing unless something changes.

Self driving car from Waymo

Robotaxi rules have entered their first global phase. A UN vehicle standards forum has adopted the first international framework for fully autonomous vehicles, giving driverless fleets a common safety baseline across major markets.

The move lands while robotaxis are expanding from test programs into a bigger commercial race. In the US and China, private fleets more than doubled in 2025 to 8,000 vehicles across more than two dozen major cities.
