1923 season 2: Everything we know about the Yellowstone prequel
Harrison Ford kisses Helen Mirren in a still from 1923.

Yellowstone has only been around since 2018, but the show is so popular that series co-creator Taylor Sheridan keeps coming up with new spinoffs and prequel series for Paramount+. That was also a way for Paramount+ to have a part of the franchise since the streaming rights for Yellowstone currently belong to Peacock. To date, Sheridan has produced and released two prequel miniseries, 1923 and 1883, with more shows on the way. While 1883 was designed to run only a single season, a new season of 1923 is in the works.

Although filming has yet to begin for 1923 season 2, a few things have been revealed about what's coming up next. We'll add more details when new information is available. For now, this is everything you need to know about 1923 season 2.
Who is starring in 1923 season 2?
Harrison Ford and Helen Mirren, the two names at the top of the call sheet, have confirmed that they will be back as a Jacob and Cara Dutton, the couple at the heart of the series. Barring any recastings, the following performers will also return for 1923 season 2:

What’s new on Amazon Prime Video in October 2024
A man and a woman share a drink in "Challengers."

Amazon Prime Video finally got around to letting subscribers know what was coming in October ... but only after waiting for the month to start. That's a very sloppy way to begin October, especially when Prime Video boasts a large selection of new and returning library titles. All of the James Bond movies are back, for example. Even some Hulu original films are guest starring this month, including Vacation Friends and Deep Water.

Since it's the Halloween season, you may interested in catching some of this month's horror flicks, including The Silence of the Lambs, Doctor Sleep, The Thing, The Witch, and The Boogeyman. Citadel, the spy action franchise that didn't get much traction in 2023, is getting a spinoff, Citadel: Diana, on October 10. At the beginning of the month, Zendaya's romance movie, Challengers, is coming to Prime Video, and on October 24, Kate Beckinsale is starring in the Amazon original action movie Canary Black.

Everything coming to PBS in October 2024
The cast of The Marlow Murder Club.

October is going to be one of the busiest months of the year on PBS because of the upcoming presidential election. There are many news specials and documentaries dedicated to the election. Thankfully, PBS isn't wall-to-wall election coverage, and there are still new nature and science documentaries to enjoy as well.

PBS is also launching two new British dramas this month: The Marlow Murder Club and Velvet. Those kinds of shows almost always draw more attention to PBS, especially when they sidestep streaming for their American premieres. The best part is that everything on PBS is free. Public Broadcast System lives up to its name each and every month, so you enjoy it on your local PBS station or stream online through PBS' official site.
