Samsung usually likes to keep its foldables under wraps until launch day. Sure, we get the occasional teaser, but the company rarely spells out what to expect. This year, though, things feel different. Samsung is practically telling everyone that a wider, more pocket-friendly foldable is on the way.

It started yesterday when Samsung’s social media channels shared a teaser showing a canvas painting morphing into the number “8” — an obvious nod to the upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 8 lineup, which is expected to take center stage at Samsung’s next Galaxy Unpacked event. The Fold 8 is widely rumored to bring refinements to the existing design, but Samsung’s teasers suggest there could be more than just the standard model in store.

Samsung’s teasers are practically spelling it out

That was followed by another reel featuring a pizza slice described as “a whole new slice.” On the surface, it’s just clever marketing. But paired with the visuals, it feels like Samsung is hinting at something we’ve never seen from its book-style foldables before: a wider, more compact form factor that’s easier to slip into your pocket and more comfortable to use when folded.

The hints didn’t stop there. Samsung continued posting teasers showing everyday objects transformed into wider, shorter shapes, reinforcing the same message. None of the videos explicitly mention a new foldable variant, but taken together, they strongly suggest Samsung is preparing to introduce a wider version alongside the Galaxy Z Fold 8. If that’s the case, this could be one of the biggest design changes the Fold lineup has seen in years.

One of the most useful Galaxy S26 Ultra features may not remain exclusive to the Ultra model for long. A new leak claims that Samsung is preparing to bring its Privacy Display technology to the entire Galaxy S27 lineup.

Recent rumors have revealed that Samsung is working on four Galaxy S27 series models, which include the standard Galaxy S27, the Galaxy S27+, the new Galaxy S27 Pro, and the Galaxy S27 Ultra. According to The Elec, all four of these will get Samsung Display’s Flex Magic Pixel technology as a standard feature.
