If you want virtually every human in America to see something, run an ad for it during the Super Bowl. The game ranks number one in total viewership year in and year out and, according to ScreenCrush, at least one movie will be looking to maximize its exposure with an uber-pricey Super Bowl spot.

Universal will reportedly premiere the trailer for the next Bourne film during the big game and will also reveal its currently classified title. The news first broke via a Facebook post from Eric Van Lustbader, who succeeded Robert Ludlum as author of the Bourne book series.

You can see what the scribe had to say below and — though we’re not quite sure why everyone is so tight-lipped about the title — we’re excited to see the spot.

Damon last played the eponymous super agent in 2007 (The Bourne Ultimatum) and what little we know about the plot of the film suggests that we’ll be seeing an older, more experienced Bourne. Though Damon is just nine years removed from the franchise, the events of what’s currently referred to as Bourne 5 are set 12 years after his last appearance. Whether that means we’ll see less ass kicking and/or name taking is an open question, but it seems that producers are going to at least acknowledge the fact that, at 45, the franchise’s star is now officially middle-aged.

Here’s what Damon told Entertainment Weekly about his character and about the focus of the upcoming film: “We find him in a dark and tortured place. There’s been the financial collapse, the great recession, all these issues of cyber-warfare and civil liberties.”

Bourne 5 also stars Alicia Vikander, Julia Stiles, Tommy Lee Jones, Riz Ahmed, and Vincent Cassel. Paul Greengrass, who helmed The Bourne Supremacy and The Bourne Ultimatum, will direct.

The film is set to hit theaters July 29, 2016.

What’s new on Netflix and what’s leaving in May 2024
Luke Newton and Nicola Coughlan as Colin and Penelope looking at each other in Bridgerton.

Netflix has generally weathered the aftermath of the 2023 Hollywood strikes better than its streaming rivals. However, Netflix's lineup in May looks significantly weaker than in the recent past. There's a distinct lack of blockbuster movies from other studios. Even Netflix's original series are slowing down this month. The most significant arrival is Bridgerton season 3, and Netflix is splitting that season into two parts, making fans wait until June to get some closure.

There are other highlights, including Jerry Seinfeld's Unfrosted, Blood of Zeus, and the complete run of the animated spy comedy Archer. But compared to the shows and movies that Netflix had earlier in 2024, it's really lackluster.
