Senior citizen shenanigans ensue in the season 2 trailer for Netflix’s Grace and Frankie

Brace yourself: Grace and Frankie is coming back for season 2, and the duo is as risqué as ever. Netflix dropped the first trailer for the upcoming season today, and the two ladies’ hilarious antics are front and center. When the show returns, they’ll be rejoining the dating pool now that their ex-husbands have married each other.

From what we can see in the trailer, it’ll be a wild ride. These women still aren’t your average senior citizens; instead of engaging in the stereotypical activities for “women of a certain age” (partaking in bridge club, baking, knitting, etc.), Grace (played by Jane Fonda) and Frankie (Lily Tomlin) are living it up — as they should. They do what they want, whether that be making a vodka watermelon (apparently, they’re not just for college kids) or stalking dating prospects at the farmers’ market.

The season should be full of fun, if perhaps sometimes cringe-worthy, moments, such as when Frankie’s kids have to hear about their parents’ sex life. There’s also a scene in which Grace is gifted a vibrator, and Frankie quips that the microphone-shaped device will make her sing. While the present earns Frankie’s glowing endorsement, not every character is as thrilled by the comic exchange.

Disapproval looks like it may be something the women have to contend with this season as they carve out their new single paths. Along the way, though, they’ll have the support of each other. That, and the vodka watermelon, may be all they need.

Grace and Frankie is just one of the Netflix shows set to premiere in the coming months, coming back after a successful first season. The series has led to one Primetime Emmy Award nomination so far, for Tomlin’s performance as Frankie. The bar is set high for season 2, but what we’ve seen so far is very promising.

Grace and Frankie season 2 arrives on Netflix on May 6.
