UPDATED DESIGN: ok my actual review is below, but I received a new pack of protectors and I am thrilled with the changes Spigen has decided to make- see my pics, now the glass has a very slim black bezel around it which COMPLETELY eliminates the rainbowing effect at an angle that’s usually unavoidable with any type of glass protector (you don’t see it whatsoever when applied as it’s very precise!). AND now there is no cutout around the notch. The glass covers it completely with a smaller cutout for the earpiece only, and FaceID still functions as quickly as before and the front facing camera has no degradation in quality. It also helps prevent lint from building up around the notch- thank you Spigen! However, I will point out that I ordered a set of protectors for my mom’s 11 Pro Max the same day, and hers still has the same design where it cuts out around the notch and no bezel- I do hope that they update the design for other devices as well, it’s an excellent change! Don’t get me wrong the original version is still an amazing product. 👍 I feel that this new design will be much more durable, which I so appreciate the innovation especially for an older device.

I use the slim Apple silicone case which is somewhat protective but still very thin, so when I accidentally drop it, this tempered glass protector breaks, and not my actual screen- which is the intended purpose. You also can tell it’s definitely tempered as it never becomes dangerous or sharp, always easy to remove and replace with another.
That brings me to my next point- ease of install. It cannot get any more simple than this! What I have always done and it works every time is to clean the screen briefly with a lens wipe, dry with a glasses cleaner cloth, and THEN use either a can of compressed air or an electric one like I have to ensure screen is dust free. The rest is self explanatory and it lines up perfectly every time. The Steinheil glass is awesome and feels as good if not better than the regular iPhone screen!
10/10 product as always from Spigen- I will continue to purchase this same protector for any other phone in the future and for my family’s devices.

OMG this is the easiest screen protector I’ve ever applied! And it’s MILES above the Z-name glass that cost 6 times as much!!
The instructions are clear and thorough - missing only the mention of the dust removal sticker. But that’s pretty self-explanatory for anyone who has done this before. Lots of YouTube vids for anyone who hasn’t.
This protector gets a teensy bit smudged with fingerprints that can only be seen in certain lights at certain angles — but nothing like the Z-brand glass I got from the phone dealer—that POS was smudgy in 2 seconds and was never NOT smudged again. Created rainbow smears I had to look through constantly. YUCK.
THIS glass is truly “oleophobic” — and it had zero bubbles from the start. Didn’t even need the squeegee it came with! (Again, UNlike the Z-brand one I’d initially gotten!)
Take my advice — on ANY screen protector you apply, always wipe the outside of the screen protector before as well. They can get dust attached by static, which can “flip” as you peel off the plastic backing just before application, and then sticks to the adhesive & ends up in your screen, even though you *know* your screen was spotless before you put that glass down. Learned that lesson with the Z-brand as well! That had to be what happened, and I ended up with 12 (!!) specks of crap under the glass.
This Spigen came with 2x the glass for 1/3 the price of the Z-brand — therefore 1/6th the price. If I do drop it or ding it so it breaks, instant backup!
The one thing it *did not* come with that makes applying screen protectors easier — is a little rubber mat, which the Z-brand did come with. I saved it, knowing it’d be handy again some day. But you can also get rolls of this stuff at a local store in the kitchen shelf liner area, so NBD it doesn’t come with one. The back of a mouse pad would work, too. Keeps the slippery sucker of a phone still & removes one variable for possible crooked glass application.
The only detractor this protector has is being about 1mm narrower than I’d like it. Juuuust covers the screen edges L-R. Certain angles shows a little prism effect on the left, but doesn’t affect anything I’m doing, so no big deal to me. I still love it!
As for durability - I dropped my phone last night right after I put this on. Had it in a case, which protected it from the initial impact, but the screen protector was fine after it finished falling/settling on the dirty garage floor. Whole phone was fine.
Some people have claimed their protector cracked and they “didn’t even do anything” to it. I call BS. They could have smacked it flat on a table corner, or micro-scratched it in a pocket or bag and not realized it.
In the end, if the protector breaks but the phone screen doesn’t, then it’s done it’s job & they shouldn’t ding the product on review over it. They should be glad they have a $12 simple fix instead of a $1200 phone to replace.
