UPDATE (October 2014):
Through much abuse and many thousands of miles on my boneshaking motorcycle the Thermos continues to function flawlessly, and has never leaked, which amazes me as my bike vibrates like crazy and I store the bottle on its side in my saddlebag. It continues to keep ice cold water ice cold through the intense summer heat in Florida...all day long!
I now keep a pitcher of water in the fridge, and when I'm ready to go I pour the cold water into my Thermos and I'm out the door. No need to even add ice, no need to even fill with tap water and let it sit to "pre-chill" it.
If you do anything outdoors in the intense heat you have to have one of these.

I purchased one of these several years ago. My main concern was not so much keeping hot liquids hot, but keeping water cold in a most difficult environment, namely, this Thermos bottle stored in the saddlebag of my motorcycle while I rode for hours in the extreme heat of Florida!
I followed the instructions: fill the Thermos bottle with cold tap water, cap it and let it sit for 15 minutes, then empty the tap water out and fill the bottle with cold water.
Now...not only does the water stay cold all day in the Florida heat while being carried in the saddlebag on my motorcycle, there are times I have left the bottle in the saddlebag overnight and when I opened it up and tasted the water the next morning it was still cold!
It is unbreakable inside and out, a fact I confirmed while using it (like an idiot) to pound a stake into hard sand at the beach. It dented a little on the bottom but has never leaked and still functions perfectly. I don't, however, recommend this abuse.
I'm ordering another one just to have a backup. I would not be without one of these Thermos bottles!
Also note that if you're in a hurry to hit the road you can skip the above filling instructions and do this instead: Dump a couple of handfuls of ice cubes into the Thermos bottle and then slowly add cold tap water while moving the bottle in a swirling motion until the bottle is filled. The water will be almost as cold or sometimes, depending on the amount of ice added, as cold as when following the above instructions, and will get you out the door without having to wait.
You absolutely cannot go wrong with one of these fine bottles! Use it per instructions and you will be satisfied.

Thermo is quite tall but a great product
I’ve been using this thermo for about 3 months. It’s not made of strong aluminum and can be slightly bent if dropped from weist height so it was not made to be handled roughly. It can maintain the cold temperatures for about 13 hours and 8 hours for hot drinks, so if you were to bring any drink to work and forgot to bring the thermo out of your car you don’t need to worry about it, by the time you end your full shift you should still have a cold or hot drink ready for you. The bottle is quite tall so it might be troublesome to put it on a backpack. This thermo is sealed tight with a screw-type plastic lid with two openings on opposite sides to let you pour your drink without opening the bottle completely. I wouldn’t recommend putting sodas or mineral water on this thermo or any thermo for that matter as it may result on the bottle being forced- opened due to the carbon pressure and spilling the liquid. I recommend washing the thermo as soon as it arrives with soap water for about 10 minutes to remove anything that might still be inside from the factory production.Edit: 8/7/2019After using this thermo for almost a year I think is safe to say that this is a great product. The thermo has not deteriorated or shown any sign of breakage up until recently due to a mistake I made, I’ll tell you about it in bit, but first; this product exceeded all my expectations for the price. It has kept all my drinks cold or hot during the whole day and has never leaked. Since the day I bought it I’ve washed every day with soap and hot water to keep it clean. As with all thermos I recommend to clean it every single day to avoid mold and fungus to grow due to the sugars and the vacuum form the bottle itself. One thing I noticed is that the top-cup has a small gap on the union of the plastic inside and the aluminum outside as shown in the picture, if you plan on washing your cup I’d suggest to only use water for the cup as soap could sip in the gap and make you taste the soap later on when you sip. The other thing is to wash the plastic seal as well, shown in the second picture, as it could retain some liquids and grow bacteria inside. One very important piece of advice i’d Give when buying this product is to NEVER WASH IT WITH METAL SPONGES NOR SCRATCH THE INSIDE WITH ANYTHING THAT MAY CUT OR SCRAP THE METAL. This will cause your thermo to “get sick” and start to rust overtime. I did it and I ended up with a full rusted thermo. Overall this is a great product and if you treat it well it will last you a long time.
