It's…a fine enough news app I guess. It's usually nice and simple, but it spams your phone non-stop with opinion "news" pieces or just random corporate fluff pieces. It does actual news pretty well, but the thinly-veiled advertising and propaganda it barrages you with the other 80% of the time makes it questionable weather the app is even worth installing.

Update 4.30.24: they fixed the ad issue. App is still slow, but works pretty well. I am adjusting my review Update 4.29.23: I had to uninstall. The video ads have gotten worse, and I made the mistake of opening the app in public for an ad that was most definitely not appropriate. Still feeling embarrassed as i write this, please fix your app.

Love AP News, but the app is frustrating at times. Sometimes I click on a headline in the feed and am just taken to a black screen with a loading swirl. It happens reasonably often - maybe one out of ten or fifteen times I click. The news is great and unbiased as news gets, the app can be frustrating though.
