very good small video camera with some setbacks
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Easy to use, but, I had to upgrade firmware following easy go pro support site to be able to connect via wireless to other devices.. This assigned camera name and password. Unfortunate that no windows gopro editing software without windows 10. Using windows movie maker is adequate. Connects well with android phone and ipad and laptop. Great quality but often have to reduce to 1080 or 720 to edit on movie maker. Overall fun to use.

Easy to use
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This camera was easy to use right out of the box. I also bought the chest harness that mounts easy to the GoPro. I’m happy with my purchase and regret not buying it sooner.

Very Nice
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Works well underwater - the only thing I don't like is the fact you cant attach a float to the back of the camera for mounting on a surfboard.

Great deal - can't ask more
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My beloved GoPro Session 5 died from last trip then I found by surprise, GoPro doesn't make Session any more. I chose Hero as an alternative and I am glad I got Hero instead. Session surely has a great form factor being smaller. But Hero offers almost same feature as Session such as voice control. Plus, Hero actually has a screen with a touch control. Using action cams for last 5 years, I almost forgot that camera can actually come with screen I can review and control. I also like the quality of the screen as well. For personal use, I don't think I need 4K. So, for the price under $200, I think this is a great deal and can't go wrong with what it offers.

Great for what I need
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I been happy with this purchase. It does a great job doing videos and photos and for the price cant complain. I use it for dog walks because I have a neighbor that complains my dog barks and when I got to show the video to animal control, it was a life safer. Easy to download the files.

Amazing camera
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We purchased this for a cruise we went on in August, where we would be doing a lot of snorkeling. This GoPro was the best thing we could have brought with us, next to sun screen!! The picture quality was amazing, as was the sound quality! So simple and easy to use! The size made it perfect for traveling, and we had so much fun looking back at the pictures and videos each night! The battery does get used quickly, but we brought 2 spares and a charger with us which was great! The camera is light weight too, making it easy to swim around while holding it! Definitely gave us some of the best picture and video memories to look back on!

Nice at a fair price...
||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Ok... This is basically one of the current entry level models to the go pro camera and it's my first experience using one. I really did not know what to expect. But the first thing which shocked me was the size. It's about the size 1" x 1 1/2" inches. I was blown away this could be so powerful in such a small package. As far as usage... Well it only took me about 30 minutes of toying around with the various settings to understand the features and how to really put it to work. So, there's no strong over head in the learning arena. One thing... Is you'll find the accessories you can garner for this product are plentiful. Good, It has awesome QHD recording for some really spectacular shots and video. I now wish I could have afforded the 4K model. But, going in I had no idea of how much I would use it. Going forward I rate this a 5 star... Price/Performance/Usability. One of the recommended accessories I would suggest is the extra battery and charger. You'll be glad you did when you can keep the GoPro going.

Q: QuestionHow long does the battery last on a charge ?
Asked by otter.
- A:Answer Battery life will depend on which mode you're shooting in. For example, at a high resolution and frame rate like 1440p and 60 fps, the battery should last about an hour and 20 minutes. At a lower setting like 1080p and 30 fps, you should get about two and a half hours of battery life per charge.

Q: QuestionDo you need any housing at all or can you just take the camera under water by itself?
Asked by Shirl.
- A:Answer By itself. I bought a floating handle just in case I dropped it though.

Q: QuestionThis $200 gopro. what gopro is it? 4/5/6?
Asked by XchrisX.
- A:Answer Its the hero 2018, which is between the 4 and 5. Basically its a 5 with less options like no 4k, limited time lapse, limited video settings and 10mp camera vs the 12 in the 5. The 5 would be the better one, but its $100 more.

Q: QuestionIs it possible to use the GoPro as a dash cam in the car, and if so are accessories available like a windshield or dash mount and power adapter?
Asked by GoProNovice.
- A:Answer Yes, it's possible to use a GoPro as a dash cam. The Suction Cup mount is an option that may work for you. Also, the camera comes with a USB cable to charge the camera, so any adapter that can plug into your car and provide enough power should work.
