The camera sends us alert right to our phones. We were amazed at all the wild animals we have roaming our property

I JUST WISH THE NIGHT VISION WAS BETTER AND THAT IT WAS MADE TO WORK FINE WITH RECHARGEABLE BATTERIES. BECAUSE ONLY SUPPOSED TO USE LITHIUM IS REALLY EXPENSIVE IN THE LONG RUN. AND WHERE I LIVE EVEN WITH THE MOTION SET AT 6 the default setting. The batteries died out literally like in 8 days. That’s ridiculous. LAST 2 years IS LYING DONT BELIEVE THAT. IT DIDNT EVEN LAST 2 WEEKS.

Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.great but not perfect. ive owned arlo 1st gen and these blow that away. battery life last longer and takes 2 aa lithium as opposed to 4 cr123 lithium batteries arlo takes. pictures are excellent. only downside is the 100 dollar a year subscription needed to remote view. i was hoping i could just use the 64 gigabyte thumbdrive to remote view but thats not the case. overall satisfied.

Setup was a breeze. I have five of the outside Blink modules and they pick up any movement. You can adapt each camera to different settings: timers, space movement, sensitivity levels, sound levels. Easy to install. 10/10 recommend!

Easy to connect. If you plan on storing any of your recordings, Blink offers a plan for $100 a year. The system set up is so easy, I am confident that those who are even technologically challenged can set up the system. Installation is a breeze. The base connects to a surface with two screws and the camera pops right onto the base. I cannot comment on the battery life, for the first month it worked just as you'd expect it to, I easily purchased power cords for mine off of Amazon - if you choose to go this route, take the cameras design into consideration, with the power cord plugged in, it is difficult to tilt the camera downward and Blink has removed the option from their APP to "Flip" the camera if you have to mount it upside-down. So if you are placing it up high and want to run a cord to it, remember this for mounting. If you're just running the battery, you'll have no issue at all. If you're wondering about the range, I have a camera mounted on the exterior second floor of my house, and there are zero issues with recording motion. I also have another camera mounted in a tree adjacent to my front porch, its proximity from the Wifi and the Sync Module is approximately 25ft. One more thing of note, the night video is recorded in black and white, which can cause things like faces to be washed out if they are closer to the camera, if you'd like color night time video, pair this with a dusk to dawn light.

- A:Answer Our family is in the same situation. There are four of us who want to monitor my mother at home. But there's no convenient way to do it because you cannot turn OFF 2-factor authentication. So if my sister wants to log in, I get a 6-digit code on MY phone that I have to send to her for her to login? That's such short-sighted thinking on Amazon's part. We will probably go with another service.

- A:Answer I have a system setup in Mexico. I am now trying to setup 3 camera's in the United States. Can you tell me how to do that because the unit tells me I must change the wifi passcode. If I do that, I afraid it will disconnect my Mexico cameras.

- A:Answer I was not able to even locate the camera 20 feet from the wifi router and sync unit. I could not have a camera in both my front and back yard. I had to place the one outdoor camera right outside the window nearest the room with the wifi router.

- A:Answer The cameras come with both brackets and screws. I did not want to screw into my vinyl siding so I put velcro on the house and the back of the bracket to attach to the house.

- A:Answer The answer below is incorrect. You need to arm the whole system. Once armed you can touch the "running man" icon above each camera to turn off motion detection. hth.

- A:Answer You need internet and a router for these. You can use a baby monitor as a security cam without internet, but it won't send it to your phone. I do use a baby monitor to keep an eye on my car at night. The camera just looks out the window. I recently became aware of the security cam phenomena, after our place was broken into. I now have a number of the blink minis, and they are a total game changer. I can be anywhere; pull out my phone, and look at the front yard, front door, driveway, back door, etc. It's crazy how well it works. My phone will "ping", and i'll look at the blink app, and there is the neighbor's dog walking across the yard! It's worth it to get internet and wifi just for these.
