Amazing for price! Works with BI

Amazing for price! Works with BI
I usually use Reolink or Amcrest cameras. Reolink has better video and great FOV but cuts out in BI randomly.Amcrest is good video with less FOV than Reolink. But works well with BI and has Onvif.Eufy C120 has a great video feed and works well. I docked a star only because it was missing Onvif, and the fact RTSP is not enabled automatically, and the setup process for it was not friendly for users. Due to being in IT, I was able to get around it just fine. It had a App and most end users will be ok with it.Getting it linked into BlueIris worked fine. I’m satisfied for $30, does what I need inside. Night vision is also pretty good and has many IR LEDs to light the area nearby.Just buy this, you will not be disappointed.

YOU NEED A MICRO SD CARD FOR IT TO OPERATE. fyi Even if not saving recordings.
Night vision is outstanding. The app on iOS is great and easy to use... this is as important as the camera and features in my mind.
The speaker on it is outstanding as well. We use it in the mudroom to keep an eye on the two kittens at night. The night vision is remarkable. And talking to them is good for a laugh time to time. Motion detection is outstanding as well. Ended up turning it off bc didn't need to know every time the cats were walking around in there even after adjusting the notification frequency to lower. Eventually just turned them off.

One Con: The cord would be much more useful if it were about twice as long. 99% of the time your wall socket isn't within only a few feet of exactly where you would like or need it mounted. Measure outlet to mount and get yourself an appropriate length USB cable also. Even with this... it is a tremendous camera with great feature sets!

    Color: Black+WhiteVerified Purchase
Currently I have 18 cameras running on my property at all times. I started with the old style, wired surveillance, but not long ago I dipped my toes into the Wifi smart cameras world with the Wyze cam. Cheap, did neat things, and easy to make work. The cheap showed in the not great quality in video, audio, connection, reliability, etc. So, when this Eufy Camera came scrolling past one day, I looked into it.

As Eufy in an Anker brand, that comes with a sense of trust, as Anker is a proven great quality brand. It cost more than the Wyze camera, but not exceedingly so. The features it claimed to have were similar and often slightly better than the Wyze. I decided to give it a shot. I am glad I did.

The video quality is like night and day. The difference between Eufy and Wyze is like comparing Blu ray to VHS. The night vision is clear as a bell and farther reaching. The events record entirely, rather than just a 12 second clip. It has an alarm feature that you can use when you're away, so if it triggers it makes a ton of noise. The person detection is accurate, and is free. Free is important, because when Wyze started, they said the person detection was free, but due to things going downhill with their AI partner, they have to start charging for it. While I understand why, I can't get on board with paying for a feature. I will pay for cloud storage, but I don't like the idea of paying for a feature. The Eufy has pet detection, so it can tell the difference between Humans, Pets, and just general motion, so you can tell it to not notify you of your pets movements to lower the superfluous motion notifications when it's running.

Just all in all it's pretty great as a standalone camera, with tons of features packed in. I barely scratched how many there are in this. However, it does come with a decently sized flaw. It's smart assistant integrations are missing a big chunk of access, and that breaks my routine.

So, in order to mitigate notifications when I want them, I have routines setup for my surveillance so that I can tell Google, say, I'll be right back, and it does a routine that sets the lights, TVs, stereos, computers, etc all to stand by/off, and sets all the controllable cameras to the "armed" modes. Notifications for motion, person detection, etc. Wyze handled this swimmingly, because you can just use IFTTT triggers to set a voice command to switch "Modes". One mode set to disarmed, one to armed, so when I am home and awake, I won't be bombarded by the various events triggered by us being home, but when we're gone or in bed, I get them all. Eufy on the other hand has no connections to outside services like IFTTT, Google Assistant, Homekit, or Alexa that allow it to switch the modes. So I have to rely on manually switching all of the cameras modes to away when we leave, and rely on scheduling the modes for bedtime and morning shut off. I can't use the Geofencing option, because I can't use the scheduling for bedtime. Basically, I have to choose which of the two modes to use, which ends up just being me manually having to switch each camera to away when we go places, which is annoying.

That discrepancy is what loses the star on the overall rating. The other lost stars are mostly just because it is still a budget camera, and they can only get so good. So motion triggers happen when there is no motion, but it doesn't trigger human or pet incorrectly. Picture quality is great, but compared to higher end cameras like the Nest cameras, they aren't the top tier 5 star best.

I would definitely recommend these cameras as the best middle of the road surveillance cameras, as well as the handful of other Eufy brand devices we own now.

This review is for the Eufy 2K indoor cam used with iOS app. I have this camera mounted in a sheltered location outdoors at my front door (accepting that this may void any warranty) . The camera comes compactly and attractively packaged. Include instructions are limited to set up and mounting but a link in the app provides help on the interface and settings. Take care mounting the attachment plate because the stand movement is somewhat limited. The app is very good and well designed and can be portrait or landscape. 2K resolution is excellent both live and playback. I used a Kingston 128GB class 10 flash card which is formatted by the camera for encryption. My first 24hrs of recording in 2K has used about 7GB so expect over two weeks of storage. If the camera is shared with another party it must be done by invitation and the sharee must set up their own user name/password. If a user name is used on an iOS device which is not already using that user name a nag will pop up each time the app is opened by the original user. Fingerprint id can be used for logon. Detection settings are any combination of person, pet or motion. Recognition is done onboard the camera so notifications are fast and can include a thumbnail. The detection zone is set using six points therefore can be any shape. Multiple detection zones are permitted.
The camera is Apple HomeKit compatible but with HomeKit there are advantages and disadvantages. First the cons; only supports 1080P to stream in Home or native app, onboard AI, sound detection and pet command are disabled, Home app will not access SD card. Home will not record to iCloud 24/7 only clips triggered by motion are recorded. Custom detection area is not possible. For one camera a 200GB iCloud subscription is required, for up to the maximum of 5 cameras a 2TB subscription so $3.99 or $12.99 per month plus tax. Now the pros; Apple post processing AI may be better depending on needs. The replay timeline of clips triggered by motion show icons for person and pet detection. In iOS 14 (now in beta) known persons can be individually identified by name i.e. facial recognition with custom labels. SD card becomes unnecessary and all video is encrypted by your personal Apple device. Picture in picture keeps view on top of open apps.
Google integration is working but only streams for about five minutes to smart display.

5.0 out of 5 stars Way above my expectations

I recently purchased the Eufy Security Solo IndoorCam C24, 2K Security Indoor Camera and I am blown away by its performance. This camera has exceeded all of my expectations and I couldn't be happier with my purchase.

The video quality is absolutely phenomenal, providing crisp and clear footage that is perfect for monitoring any room in my home. The camera's 2K resolution and advanced HDR technology ensure that every detail is captured, even in low-light conditions.

The setup process was incredibly simple and the accompanying app made it a breeze to get everything up and running in no time. The camera's 360-degree rotation and ability to be mounted on the wall or placed on a shelf provide ultimate flexibility in placement options.

What really sets the Eufy Security Solo IndoorCam C24 apart, however, is its advanced features. The camera's motion detection is top-notch, providing instant alerts whenever there is any activity in the room. The two-way audio feature also allows me to communicate with whoever is in the room, which is a great way to keep in touch with family members when I'm not home.

Overall, I highly recommend the Eufy Security Solo IndoorCam C24 to anyone in need of a high-quality indoor camera. It is truly a five-star product that delivers exceptional performance and features that are unmatched in the market.

4.0 out of 5 stars An excellent indoor security camera

This camera produces terrific video and is relatively easy to configure. The app is pretty clear and it is quick to set up. The field of view is more than wide enough to cover a decent sized room. Works well enough, I’m considering getting a second one.
