I am a big fan and owner of the LoupeDeck CT, the second generation app control device. It beautifully made, like an Apple product, and although rather pricey at $549, I find it a great tool for speeding up my workflow in a number of apps, like FCPX, PS, LR, AE, Logic and Capture One Pro.
The original LoupeDeck was the size of a keyboard, and basically silkscreen labelled and laid out for Lightroom. The CT is much smaller, about 1/3 the size and most all of the controls have dynamic video labels that change functions depending on where you are in a program. The problem I have is that the labels, while bright and clear, are a rather small font size at arms length away so I found myself holding the device to make it easier to read. I also wanted it angled toward my face as it felt more natural than flat.
I envisioned a stand to hold this, say 4” or so high, and angled toward me. I ordered a number of products I thought might work, but all were either too large or bulky for travel or did not hold the LoupeDeck CT firmly when operating.
Enter the Humixx Tablet Stand Multi-Angle Adjustable iPad Stand. When I got it I was skeptical, as the box was tiny, and only about 3/4” thick. It was also the least expensive option I had tried so far. Anyway, I slid it out of the box and was immediately impressed with the quality of manufacturing. I had a jet black finish with both the base and the easel back covered in a tacky rubber. The unit has a good heft to it, and its basically three pieces of steel with two friction hinges connecting them. Unfolding takes some effort so once set up as a stand, the weight of the device will not move the hinges. After aunfolding, I placed the LoupeDeck CT in it, and voila! Absolutely perfect...sturdy, right height, right angle and I could easily read and operate the controls.
I would go so far as to say this should be sold either with or as an accessory to the CT. It's not often you find a device this nice for a low price. If you own a CT, you need this.

I don't normally have the time to spend to write a review for a product, it either works or it doesn't. To say that I have been pleasantly surprised by this product is an understatement. I can't stress enough how sleek and powerful the new iPad is, and by putting one of those bulky cases you're inherently changing your interaction with this device on a day to day basis, damn near making it feel like a heavy laptop. With this stand, I find it to be extremely sturdy, and with it being built with all metal parts, it only furthers my confidence in this device. The viewing angles and tilt capability are almost infinite and I almost find it difficult to put this product in a tough situation. I've enjoyed it so much that I have already purchased two stands, and to be quite honest might pick up another one for the price. You're able to keep your device as sleek as possible with your regular type of case you would keep on your iPhone, but with this stand and a simple Bluetooth keyboard, you can have a quick and easy sleek setup that doesn't break the bank. Phenomenal job at this price point, I purchased on my own volition and have not been contacted by this company in any fashion; this review is simply because of how good this product really is. Great job guys!

I am happy with this stand. I bought it for my daughter virtual learning class. She is 8yrs old and prefers to use the screen to make selections as opposed to the mouse that I have connect to the iPad. When she taps on the screen it does cause the iPad and stand to fall back. I placed the keyboard that I also have connected to the iPad over the base of the stand and this solves that problem. So overall, if you’re not going to be doing a lot of tapping on the tablet screen this is perfect!
*Update* I obviously did not have this thing position right. While setting this up today I clearly had it at a different angle that works perfectly. It does not tip when we touch the screen. Find your perfect angle on all axels and this is PERFECT!!!

I really love how I can adjust to different angels to write and to watch videos for my classes. I had to get a stand to use during face to face classes due to having to disinfect everything and I don’t like the idea of using bleach wipes on my Zugu case. This holds my 12.9” iPad Pro with the zugu case very well! I had to adjust the cover to ensure that it is completely flush to fit without falling. You do have to adjust the stand in order to avoid toppling over, but it will hold once you find the right spots. I haven’t used this for very long but I will update my review after a couple of months.
