I used the foam to insulate heating hoses in our electric vehicle to prevent heat loss. The adhesive is a must for projects like that, making sure the hose is not exposed at bends. Installation is easy, the biggest complication is dictated by pipe accessibility.

This worked perfectly for covering my outside pipes when the temperatures got cold.

Be sure to order one size larger for PVC as these are sized for copper pipes. These 1" tubes were perfect for the 3/4" PVC drain for AC in the attic. The glue strength when I installed them held well but with record heat in Texas, several 2" sections were failing so I put a strip of flexible AC tape over every seam on the entire line.

This was my second time insulating those pipes because I initially bought the wrong size. They wouldn't stay sealed even with zip ties every 2".

This is for a single piece of pipe insulation and is way more expensive (11x) than any hardware store, for the same thing.
