This Ring product is an amazing value for what it's capable of. It's motion avtivated, video quality is excellent, and it even allows you to talk to the intruder or automatically warns them that they are being videotaped. The lights are extremely powerful and literally light up the place up like Fort Knoxx. It even activates a very loud siren if you choose that option as an additional deterrent. It is very user friendly and easy to set up. If intruders were to come close to it and knock it down with a stick, it will still record them long before they get close to it and identify them as an object or a person that can be used with the police department to make an arrest. You can also choose that it notifies the police department upon anything that activates it. This is a good feature for when you go away for the weekend.Video playback can be adjusted to zoom in to a particular area or show a very wide angle of coverage. The 240° field of view covers a very large area. I would suggest mounting it in an area that covers the rear and sides of your home (including the garage) where most intruders enter. It can even be mounted to a tree to give you a better angle of all corners of your home if you have power at that location and it is within Wi-Fi distance of your residence. If not, two cameras can be installed and operate in tandom. Overall, it's an incredible value and I plan on buying additional accessories to complete my security system at home and Business. It even has a community feature without disclosing your name that allows you to alert and receive notifications of your neighbors devices. This morning I got a notification that there was an intruder checking out cars in driveways in the immediate area. It has three settings that allow you to disarm it completely during the day and can be easily switched to home or away via your cell phone app for when you forget to arm it or you're inside the home at night time. You can arm it remotely when you are away if you forget to arm it at home. If you have an "indoor camera" in your home you can disarm the motion activation feature so it doesn't pick up every movement when you walk around the house at night while the rest of your system remains on. When you're away, the indoor camera/speaker function also gives you the ability to check on your pets and even talk to them through the speaker intercom built into the unit. Obviously, I can't say enough about how satisfied I am with this purchase. For the money, I highly recommend this product.

I bought this Ring Floodlight Camera 2.5 years ago because my garage is on the side of my house and my house is on a street corner so this helps monitor 2 points of entry and the street. I also own a Ring Doorbell Cam and a Chime Pro. This is my honest review after a couple years of using it.

The Ring Floodlight Camera was easy to install and connect to internet by myself. It came with VERY detailed paper instructions and a step-by-step guide on the app that is easy to follow. The camera quality is good for both day and night vision, and it also covers a very wide area. The motion sensor is EXTREMELY accurate and will alert you about general motion and if it detects people (it even detects spiders making webs near it, or nocturnal critters). You can customize the motion detection to monitor and alert you about whatever specific area that you choose in the app.

The light is SUPER bright and it responds well to any motion detected. You have the option within the app to turn the light on and off manually as well. The app also allows you to speak directly through the floodlight speaker in case you need to talk to someone outside of your home. There is an alarm button you can set off in the app in case you want to scare off any intruders (it is very loud, shrill, and alarming).

Occasionally, I do have the rare issue of lagging internet connectivity (usually during bad weather) but it is very rare and likely due to the fact that this camera is outside and pretty far from my internet modem and Chime Pro. It hasn't really been a significant issue for me but it does happen here and there.

Overall, I HIGHLY recommend this Ring Floodlight Camera if you are looking for some added security outside of your home. I am still impressed by it and have not had any issues after 2.5 years of use.

The app works great it cost $4 a month to use the app. There are others options you can add like monitoring. You can also speak through the app to whomever is in your view. We removed the light over the garage and replaced it with this camera. Easy install no additional products needed to install
