- A: AnswerThe half-life of a hard drive is about 5 to 6 years what I mean by that is if I had 100 hard drives, 50% of them would have already failed at 5 1/2 years , some sooner some later, but it’s pretty much the same for all manufacturers and hard drive types.

A: AnswerComes formatted for windows PC, but using Apple disk utility, you can easily formatted for macOS - for data use extended journaled for a boot drive use APFS format, scheme should be GUID for either.Answered by RobertG
- A: AnswerI don’t know for certain. It doesn’t come with USB-C connector. It might if you get an adapter for the connection cable or get a connector cable with USB-C. Sorry I can’t be more helpful. The device is working well for me on my PC.

Quick and compact
Works great, it is a 7200RPM so it is a bit noisy if you're trying to install a large game on it or torrenting. In normal usage however it's not too bad. After downsizing to an ITX build, something like this is invaluable for storage until SSDs can get to a similar price range per TB. Also USB 3.0 is near equivalent to SATA for read/write speeds (5Gb/ps vs 6Gb/ps), so you're getting the same performance as an internal drive. I attached my CrystalDiskMark score with an old screenshot of an equivalent speed test of the same model as my internal 5TB 7200RPM from KitGuru that I replaced with this 16TB model.
