“It’s interesting the iPod has been out for three years and it’s only this past year it’s become a raging success. Well those things that become fads rage and then they drop off. When I was growing up there was a product made by Sony called the Sony Walkman–a rage, everyone had to have one,” he said.
Several CEO’s have gone on record saying that Apple is only producing a couple fad products and will not make it into the same superpower arena as companies such as Dell, Creative and Sony. Creative’s CEO bashed the new Apple iPod Shuffle last week by saying that there are cheaper, better flash based MP3 players with more features, and Apple is too late.
