Edge Tech is out with a new combo memory card reader and iPod dock known as the Edge Dock & Multi Flash Card Reader for iPod. Priced at $49.99, this device is shipping starting today.   This combo card reader and dock product will allow users to access various formats of flash cards including xD, SD, MMC, Memory Stick, Compact Flash and Microdrive. It utilizes USB 2.0 for high-speed file transfers, can play music off of the iPod via external speakers, displays photos on monitors via S-Video output and syncs the digital audio player to any computer.   The Edge Dock & Multi Flash Card Reader for iPod is made for the nano, mini, Photo and original iPod designs. It comes in “iPod white”.   "Apple iPod sales recently accounted for almost 90% of hard drive-based audio player sales in the U.S., and over 50% of flash-based player sales," commented Kandi Sigona, VP Strategy and Development at EDGE Tech. "With more consumers using iPods and other digital devices such as cameras and mobile phones which accept flash memory cards, EDGE saw an opportunity to combine two products into one new, unique design.”

Yesterday's iPhone 15 event revolved solely around the iPhone 15/iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro/Pro Max, and Apple Watch Series 9 (along with Apple Watch Ultra 2). As a result, no new iPads, Macs, or audio products were announced. This news isn't surprising, and the omissions suggest another Apple event may occur before the year's end, although this has yet to be confirmed and may not happen for a few weeks.

There are a lot of would-be Apple products that could make appearances in the coming weeks or months — but weren't shown at today's event.
