SMC Ships New Wireless Printer ServerSMC Networks today announced a new 802.11g wireless printer server. The EZ Connect g 2.4GHz 54Mbps Wireless Printer Server is available now for $99.99.

The SMC EZ Connect Wireless Printer Server connects to any USB printer via a USB 2.0 connector and than to a network either via its built-in Ethernet port on built-in 802.11g wireless ability. It is compatible with most operating systems, including various Windows systems as well as the Mac OS.

Features of the SMC EZ Connect Wireless Printer Server include scalable connectivity under noisy environments, bi-directional communication capability to send printer status messages to a computer, a web-based interface for configuring and remote management capability and an Internet printing protocol which allows it to print from authorized users via the Internet and through e-mail.
