Jaguar’s 2017 XE sedan starts at $35,895, 2016 XF sedan at $52,895

Jaguar has announced pricing and specs for its expanded 2016 and 2017 model year lineup.

The redesigned 2016 Jaguar XF will start at $52,895 including $995 for a destination charge and will arrive in showrooms later this year. The entry-level XF 35i Premium comes with a 3.0-liter supercharged V6 developing 340 horsepower and 332 pound-feet of torque, cutting out the previous base turbocharged four-cylinder engine. The supercharged six is connected to a ZF eight-speed automatic gearbox. Also standard is the next generation of Jaguar’s infotainment system and the just-announced EliteCare warranty.

The EliteCare warranty includes free scheduled maintenance for a five-year period, which is a significantly better deal than the first free maintenance on current Jaguar models. Also part of the package is free roadside assistance for the same term.

The mid-level XF 35t Prestige is priced at $57,545, while the XF 35t R-Sport costs $61,645. To kick up the power, you’ll need to pony up for the XF S, which starts at $63,695 and adds 40 hp for a total of 380 hp. All-wheel drive is available on all XF variants for an extra $3,000.

Transitioning to the all-new 2017 XE sport sedan, it will start at $35,895 (including the $995 destination fee), which slots right in between the base BMW 320i ($33,150) and the more expensive 328i ($38,350).

The entry 2017 Jaguar XE 25t will go on sale in the U.S. in early 2016 and is powered by a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder that delivers 240 hp and 251 lb-ft of torque. Moving up the model range, the XE 20d is priced at $37,395 and features a 2.0-liter turbodiesel inline-four-cylinder pumping out 180 hp and 318 lb-ft of torque. Sitting at the top of the XE range is the XE 35t at $42,695 that is equipped with a 3.0-liter supercharged V6 that produces 340 hp and 332 lb-ft (just like the base XF sedan). Pricing for the all-wheel drive XE variants has yet to be announced.

Standard features on the XE include Jaguar’s new ‘InControl’ infotainment system, Meridian sound system, and the EliteCare warranty.
