We got some hands-on time with Parrot’s top of the line ASTEROID 2DIN in-car multimedia system and cane away intrigued. Parrot has incorporated a stylish and sleek after-market navigation system with a host of cool features such as full music, tuner, internet and navigation.
Of course housing all these helpful applications generally requires some decent screen real estate and the Parrot ASTEROID 2DIN offers up a lush 6.2-inch color multi-touch screen. Internet access is possible via 3G key or tethering phone connected to Bluetooth, USB or Wi-Fi.
To account for safety while driving, the ASTEROID 2DIN features hands-free phone capabilities along with multi-source music playing and traditional AM/FM tuner. It even packs an RDS text service and complete on-board navigation.
Parrot representatives were eager to point out that its ASTEROID 2DIN would evolve and expand as the life of product goes on. As with most new app friendly devices, marketplace offerings should expand and offer more helpful and convenient applications to enhance your digital driving experience.
Pricing for Parrtot’s ASTEROID 2DIN console is, as of now, unavailable, and if you’re curious as to when you can purchase and install one you’ll have to wait as reps for Parrot were only able to tell us it would be out sometime in 2012.
