PG Elektrus EV roadster aims to deliver an exhilarating and electrifying driving experience

PG and Düsseldorf-based automobile designer Michael Fröhlich have recently presented the PG Elektrus in Berlin, Germany. Starting this year the German automaker will begin production on the Elektrus, an electric powered e-Roadster that will be based on British sports car company’s Lotus Elise.

Utilizing the chassis from a Lotus Elise, the Elektrus builds upon an already stunning frame with a unique and charismatic style of its own — all while delivering an exhilarating driving experience thanks in part to its state-of-the-art electric propulsion technology.

According to PG, the car will offer “an entirely new sensation of urban movement” thanks in large part to the Elektrus’ purported range of around 215 miles (depending on driving styles). In addition, according to figures from PG, the Elektrus should max out around 155 mph. PG also says that its city-racer will offer around 270-horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque, helping it to some decent sprint speeds of 0 to 52 mph in just under three seconds. Given that the car is said to weigh under 2,000 pounds, that figure sounds about right.

But that isn’t all; while the Elektrus might offer some eye-catching electric visuals, decent driving range, and some impressive specs; expect the price tag to be in the region north of $367,000.
