Judging from the record-setting online expenditure numbers posted on Cyber Monday, we’re assuming you don’t have much left in the bank for further holiday purchases. But if you sat out the year’s biggest shopping day for some reason, or saved enough to afford a couple of extra Christmas gifts, we have excellent news.
Both Best Buy and Amazon have extended their Cyber Monday deals, and as long as inventory holds up, a slew of outstanding computer discounts will last all week. Many items were on sale starting Black Friday, while others joined the party fashionably late.
The Asus EeeBook X205, for instance, was marked down from $200 to $150 a week or so ago, but availability has been patchy ever since. Currently, Best Buy has the Windows 8.1-running Chromebook killer in stock online, with store pickup inaccessible.
The retailer may also run out of HP Pavilion x360 notebooks soon. The 13.3-inch touch-capable 2-in-1 laptop is offered for $100 off, at $530, with Intel Core i5 Haswell power, 6GB RAM and a 1TB HDD. Meanwhile, a lower-end x360 configuration with only 4GB memory and 500GB storage costs $430, after a $70 trim.
In case you’re feeling overly generous, the Lenovo Yoga 2 Pro goes for $1,050 for a limited time, which is $150 off list. Sounds expensive, and it is, but the 13-inch touchscreen hybrid comes with a Core i7 chip in tow and a 256GB SSD.
Last but not least, Best Buy lets you have Apple MacBooks on the cheap if you hurry. Of course, cheap is a bit of a stretch, since prices still start at $950. The heftiest savings, of $125, are offered on a top-of-the-line Retina 15.4-inch MacBook Pro with 16GB RAM and 512GB flash storage, normally sold for $2,500, and currently slashed at $2,375.
For Amazon, this Cyber Monday deals were apparently the perfect opportunity to offload a few certified refurbished Chromebooks. In partnership with Woot, Amazon sells the HP 14 at $240 ($110 off) with a 16GB SSD, and $270 ($100 off) with double the internal storage.
A like-new Toshiba Chromebook 13 is available as well, discounted from $280 to $200. Amazon has a bundle of bargains for hardcore Windows enthusiasts too, including a measly $769 for the Lenovo Flex 2, and $380 for the Lenovo B50. So much cool gear made affordable, so little time left to decide!
