We are back with a new selection of videos to tickle your fancy. These videos are not all from this week, but they all made us laugh or caused our jaws to drop recently. Enjoy!

A Favorable Lie

Recommended Videos

Despite the fact that they keep misspelling favorable as “favourable”, the English take their golf seriously, and a favorable lie is not to be ignored. In the video below, a man confronts the one of the most common problems that a golfer faces: what to do when a giant alligator climbs up onto the fairway and gets in the way of an otherwise impressive lie. It has happened to us all. Check out the somewhat unorthodox, but effective solution.

Kilian Martin dominates his skateboards

There have been a ton of skate videos on the intertubes over the last few years, which makes sense—after all, what better medium to share a series of short, but impressive movements than the internet, which loves short, impressive things. There are a ton of jokes to be had from that, but this is serious business. In a video field crowded with impressive skate moves, Kilian Martin still manages to rise above and deliver some jaw dropping clips.

Soccer team tries to murder ref

This is about a year and a half old, but watching refs flip out, knock out players, then run for their lives never gets old. Perhaps even better than the flying kick the ref dodges, is the fact that he manages to outrun an entire soccer team with ease.

Welcome Home

Have you ever gotten off a plane and been greeted by a loved one excited to see you? Maybe they have a welcome home sign or something? That’s bush league. Check out this ad filmed at Heathrow from T-Mobile UK, as they show you how to truly greet someone at the airport.

Whiskey tango horse trailer

As a native of Kansas I can only shake my head in shame at this ridiculous video from my home state of people being idiots and jamming a horse into a car. It’s a horse! They have the ability to cover distances under their own power, that’s kinda their thing! Now, horse trailers are expensive and all, but there is a point where practicality just can’t justify pure stupidity. Although the video below seems to disagree.

Market analyst confirms my worst fears about Nvidia GPUs
Two RTX 4060 graphics cards stacked on top of each other.

Hello again, GPU shortage -- we really didn't miss you. Although the RTX 50-series is technically here, the reality isn't that simple. The RTX 5090 and the RTX 5080 launched in January in a very limited capacity, and now, it looks like the other graphics cards in the lineup may have to pay the price. According to Ming-Chi Kuo, a well-known market analyst, the release dates for Nvidia's best graphics cards for gamers are being pushed back. Worse yet, the GPUs will likely sell out the moment they hit the shelves.

Kuo reports that chip supply constraints are causing shortages, but this is no news to us. The RTX 5090 sold out almost as soon as it hit the shelves, and some retailers report that we might have to wait until June for the GPUs to come back in stock. Meanwhile, scalpers are having a field day on eBay, selling the cards at a massive markup -- or even selling photos of the GPU at $2,000.

Her movie picture man looking at a computer screen

Twelve years have passed since Spike Jonze's hit film, Her, arrived in theaters. Starring Joaquin Phoenix, Amy Adams, and Scarlett Johansson, Her is a sci-fi romantic drama set in a near-future Los Angeles. The movie follows the story of introverted writer Theodore Twombly (Phoenix), a man who leads a lonely life and writes letters for other people for a living. Everything changes when, on a whim, he decides to buy an advanced AI operating system referred to as OS1, later known as Samantha (Johansson).

Her is a moving story that weaves elements of love, connection, and what it means to be human with some quite bold predictions about what the future of technology could possibly look like. Upon watching Her in 2013, we gathered a list of things that may or may not one day become true based on the movie. Shockingly, several are now commonplace.
