Gateway Launches New Notebooks

The four new Gateway notebooks come in two new lines — thin and light PCs that combine the best aspects of mobile computing, and desktop replacement PCs, which deliver top-notch performance, larger screens and full-sized keyboards in a mobile form factor.  Additionally, each of the new systems sets news levels of value for consumers by providing them with the best technology and most features possible.
“Mobile PC users want the latest technology that is powerful, reliable and easy to use, no matter what form factor they choose,” said Ed Fisher, Gateway’s senior vice president of product planning.  “These new notebooks for the holiday season deliver the features that retail customers want — such as integrated wireless, media card readers and multi-format DVD burners.  Also, we’re breaking new ground by offering notebooks with these features at prices that are lower than ever.”

The Gateway 4530GZ and Gateway 4535GZ — unite the hottest features for mobile computing: slim size, wireless connectivity, enhanced battery life and excellent performance. The new notebooks weigh only 5.5 pounds and measure just over one-inch thin, so it’s easy and convenient to take them anywhere.

Gateway’s new 7405GX and 7210GX desktop replacement notebook PCs are the ultimate choices for PC users who value power and performance in a mobile PC. The new notebooks boast features typically found in desktop PCs, including dedicated graphics, a 6-in-one media card reader, a large widescreen display and a full-sized keyboard.

Pricing, Availability and Warranty
The new Gateway thin-and-light notebook PCs start at a manufacturer’s suggested retail price of $1,349.99 and the desktop replacement notebook PCs start at a manufacturer’s suggested retail price of $1,249.99.  The four new PCs will be available at leading retailers this weekend, and come standard with Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition.  The systems are supported by Gateway’s standard limited warranty options.
