Why you should buy the HP 15.6-inch Chromebook

HP makes some of the best Chromebooks around, and while the HP 15.6-inch Chromebook in question here isn’t exactly high-end, it’s well-designed and sturdily built. The specs are predictably low-end, but it does the job with ChromeOS working well with minimal hardware. There’s an Intel N200 CPU with 8GB of memory and 64GB of eMMC storage. Basic stuff, sure, but just what’s needed at this price point. Read up on the differences between a Chromebook and laptop and you’ll soon see what we mean and why this level of hardware will be just fine.

According to HP, the HP 15.6-inch Chromebook will boot in under 10 seconds. It boasts up to 10 hours of battery life so it’s good for a full day of use. It has HP Fast Charge support, so it takes just 45 minutes to get back 50% of battery life (five hours of charge). Other useful extras continue. For instance, it has an HP True Vision HD camera with a camera shutter. The display is an anti-glare panel, and there are micro edges involved so the HP 15.6-inch Chromebook looks good too. Just the kind of thing you like to see from one of the best laptop brands.

While the HP 15.6-inch Chromebook won’t wow you with performance, it’s perfect for basic studying. It’s also a good bet as your child’s first laptop if you want to introduce them to tech responsibility without spending a fortune.

Usually priced at $399, the HP 15.6-inch Chromebook is down to $199 for a limited time only at Best Buy. That makes it a considerable bargain for what it offers. If that sounds good to you, tap the button below to check it out.

Microsoft accidentally gave Windows 11 users another OneDrive app, and you can’t easily remove it
Microsoft says the wider-than-intended rollout was an accident, but removing the app currently means removing OneDrive too.

Windows 11 users have been getting a new OneDrive app whether they asked for it or not. The problem? Microsoft says it wasn't supposed to happen. Microsoft has confirmed that its OneDrive Photos app was rolled out to Windows 11 PCs more broadly than intended, including enterprise machines where the app isn't even designed to work. The company says it is now working on a fix, but there's an awkward catch: users currently can't uninstall OneDrive Photos without removing the main OneDrive app too.

So, what exactly got installed?

Apple Reminders sucked for project management until I learned this feature
Your checklist deserves better. Here's how to turn Reminders into a proper Kanban board.
Apple reminders on Mac

For the longest time, I used Apple Reminders only for capturing quick tasks. Thanks to its Siri integration, Reminders let me add tasks quickly so nothing would fall through the cracks. However, when it came to managing big projects, I always moved to a more powerful task manager like OmniFocus or Things 3.

That changed the day I stumbled onto the Column view. Apple added this feature with the iOS 17 and macOS Sonoma updates, and somehow I completely missed it. But once I discovered and got the hang of it, Reminders finally started to feel like a real project management tool instead of a glorified sticky note.

Lofree Flow 2 review: This keyboard made me feel like a faster typist, and also tested my patience
The Lofree Flow 2 is comfortable, beautifully built and frustrating in ways that have little to do with its excellent keys.

The Lofree Flow 2 made an excellent first impression. Its aluminum body feels reassuringly solid, its minimalist design looks expensive without screaming for attention, and once I started typing, my fingers felt strangely lithe.
