Samsung Galaxy S2 and 10.1-inch Honeycomb tablet outed by Korean news site

It seems that Samsung will be formally unveiling a new Honeycomb-powered 10.1-inch tablet and the Galaxy S2 smartphone later today in its keynote at the 2011 Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. The tablet had previously been rumored, but an apparently broken embargo on Korean news site Paran (via Engadget) reveals technical details for both devices, all but ensuring at least some of the details of today’s announcement.

The Galaxy S2 will be rocking an Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system, a 4.3-inch display, a 1GHz dual-core processor, HSPA+ (read: faster wireless), Bluetooth 3.0 and Wi-Fi support up to and including wireless-N. It’s thin too, just 8.49mm. The tablet will also feature a 1GHz dual-core processor, as well as an 8 megapixel camera with HD recording and dual surround sound speakers. Bear in mind that this information comes from a translated website, so some details may be missing or incorrect. Samsung will have the official word soon enough.

Previous rumors pegged the Samsung tablet as having a Qualcomm dual-core processor, though that seemed suspicious given the existence of the company’s Exynos chips. The tablet was also said to feature a slightly larger display than the one in Apple’s iPad, which seems to be the case based on today’s report.

best buy knocks 150 off samsung galaxy tab s6 in latest anti prime day deal 2020

Best Buy really wants to give Amazon a run for its Prime Day discounts, so even as we’re seeing some incredible Prime Day deals in the run-up to October 13, we’re also seeing great deals from Best Buy. Right now, you can get $150 off a Samsung Galaxy Tab S6. It’s selling for $500, down from its regular price of $650. This is a price so low, we’re unlikely to see this deal get beaten on Prime Day, so jump on it now.

We love the Samsung Galaxy Tab S6; so much so, we called this our best Android tablet for 2020. It really was the first tablet Samsung came up with that could really compete with the iPad. And it’s so much more affordable! Galaxy Tab S6’s custom One interface works alongside Android 9 Pie to form an absolute dream team. Like Scotty Pippen and Michael Jordan dream team. The OS is really seamless. On top of that, there’s the DeX interface, which comes into play if you attach a keyboard dock — so that this tablet can do an incredible job of mimicking a desktop. The result is great for work, and for projects around the home.
