TEAC Offers Up New 1" External HDs

Computer accessories maker TEAC yesterday announced additions of 4GB and 8GB storage sizes to their line of external 1” Mobile Hard Disk Drives. These new models are available now.

TEAC’s 1″ Mobile Hard Disk Drives, the company said, utilize USB 2.0 connectivity to obtain a data transfer rate of up to 480Mb per second. Features of this line include dimensions of 0.5” x 1.9” x 1.9”, a weight of .25 pounds, support for both Mac and Windows operating systems and plug and play compatibility with no external power source required.

“With continued growth in Digital Video and Still Cameras, users continue to demand more storage space in a more portable and mobile format that is easier to move around and lighter to carry,” says Les Luzar, Director, Sales and Marketing, Data Storage Products Division, TEAC America, Inc, in a statement. “TEAC’s new 1-Inch line of slim portable hard disk drives, available in 4GB and 8GB capacities, provide the best solution to our customers.”
