The Mac mini M4 is a killer value, but buy this during Cyber Week instead

When the M4 Mac mini came out, I called it an “absolute steal” at $599 in my review. There’s just never been a PC being offered at that price with this much bang for your buck. It’s the best mini PC ever made.

But during Cyber Week, it’s only $16 off at Amazon. Don’t get me wrong, that’s still absolutely worth a buy. It gets a full endorsement from me, especially if you’re interested in the smaller size or added performance of the M4. But there is, perhaps, an even better deal out there — at least, for some people.

I’m talking, of course, about the M1 Mac mini, which is on sale today as well. You can currently pick up a refurbished model for $391 — both at Amazon and Walmart. That’s $74 cheaper than the price for a new M1 Mac mini, which is currently selling for $465. An Apple Silicon Mac mini for under $400 is fantastic — even if it’s an M1 with 8GB of RAM. Now, I wouldn’t buy one if you need some serious performance, but if it’s just a basic computer for general web browsing, office work, and studying, you won’t be disappointed.

The refurbished M2 Mac mini is also out there, of course. It’s selling for $435 but only really provides a small bump in performance over the M1.

Now, don’t be fooled by the “retail” price and percentage drop. The M1 and M2 Mac mini are no longer officially a part of the lineup, so there’s no set price anymore. Still, picking one of these up for under $500 (or $400 for the refurbished M1 Mac mini) is absolutely worth it if you’re on a tight budget. I’d argue the jump up to only $583 for the M4 Mac mini is still worth the money, especially since it comes with 16GB of RAM instead of 8GB. That alone would be worth a $200 price jump.

But again, if you’re trying to save as much money as possible, that $391 price of the M1 Mac mini is unbeatable.

I’ve tested every MacBook, but I still recommend this $600 one on sale today

I don't normally recommend four-year-old laptops -- especially as someone who's reviewed every MacBook, up to and including the latest M4 MacBook Pros. But look -- finding a laptop for $600 that doesn't suck isn't easy, and the M1 MacBook Air is still startlingly good despite its age.

It's $100 off for Cyber Week over at Walmart, bringing it to its lowest price ever. Without a doubt, this is one of the best laptops to ever be sold for $600, and in terms of the best MacBook deals, look no further.

You need to buy this 2TB Steam Deck SSD, which is $84 off for Cyber Week
Thermal shield for the Steam Deck SSD.

If I didn't already upgrade my Steam Deck with a 2TB drive, I'd be buying the Crucial P310 on Cyber Monday. This is one of the better deals I've seen during Cyber Week, frankly, and if you have a handheld gaming PC like the Steam Deck or ROG Ally, you owe it to yourself to upgrade the storage for a great price.

You can grab the for $181 right now. Regardless of how you look at the sale, it's a great deal. That's $84 off the list price, or 32% off, and it's a similar price as the competition. The WD Black SN770M, for example, , which is also a Cyber Week deal. Crucial is my top choice, though.

This year's Cyber Monday deals have dropped. For Apple fans who want to take advantage of the shopping event to buy a MacBook, there's an offer from Best Buy that you shouldn't miss. The 256GB model of the 13-inch Apple MacBook Air M3 is on sale with a $200 discount that slashes its price from $1,099 to $899, but probably not for long, as Cyber Monday MacBook deals will be gone soon. You're going to have to be quick to add it to your cart, though, because this 18% discount won't last long.

Why you should buy the 13-inch Apple MacBook Air M3
Our team is a big fan of the 13-inch Apple MacBook Air M3. It currently holds the title as the very best MacBook you can buy in our rankings of the best MacBooks, and it all starts with the performance of Apple's M3 chip. Combined with an eight-core CPU, an eight-core GPU, and 16GB of RAM, the Apple MacBook Air M3 will barely break a sweat when handling your daily activities -- even when you're multitasking between several apps.
