Toshiba yesterday unveiled a new Satellite notebook line up targeted towards gaming and multimedia enthusiasts. The Satellite P105 series has a starting configuration price of $1,399.99 and should be available shortly.
Most prominent among the Satellite P105 series is Toshiba’s gaming focused P105-S921. This $1,999.99 laptop sports a 17â€ widescreen display and incorporates a Nvidia GeForce Go 7900 GS card with 256MB of graphics memory. It also has an Intel Core Duo Processor T2400, DVI-D output to connect to a HDTV, 1GB DDR2 SDRAM dual channel memory, a 160GB serial ATA hard drive and built-in harman/kardon stereo speakers, among other features.
“The Satellite P105-S921 meets the demands of customers who want to enjoy the latest computer game releases as well as music, DVDs and other multimedia,” said Jeff Barney, vice president of marketing at Toshiba Digital Products Division, in a statement. “With its powerful processor and graphics card as well as impressive 17-inch display, this notebook delivers all the performance and features they need in a convenient form factor.”
Joining the P105-S921 are the P105-S6014 and P105-S6004, priced at $1,549.99 and $1,399.99 respectively. Like their gaming focused sibling, these two laptops sport a 17â€ display and also have Intel Core Duo and Core Solo Processors respectively. They both come equipped with a large hard drive and 1GB of memory.
