Yahoo Refreshes Home Page

One of the most well trafficked Web sites got a facelift today as venerable online portal company Yahoo put up a preview of what they are calling the most significant redesign of their home page. It is available now for the United States, UK & Ireland, France, Germany, Italy and Spain, with general availability in all global markets later this summer.

The new Yahoo home page, said the Internet company, delivers a new level of interactive experience via AJAX and DHTML technologies. New and enhanced features available for preview include a personal preview area which delivers user specific information such as recent Yahoo Mail messages and local weather forecasts, highlights of the most popular and interesting Yahoo searches, expanded news and other content handpicked by Yahoo’s home page editors, a redesigned Yahoo Search box, simpler navigation and new content tabs and more personalization controls.

More enhancements will be made in the coming months.

“As the most visited destination on the Internet, Yahoo has always led the way in connecting people to the things they want to find and do — faster and better than anyone else,” said Dan Rosensweig, chief operating officer, Yahoo, in a statement. “By focusing on consumers’ needs and using what today’s technology can deliver, we were able to redefine what a home page could and should be. With an increased focus on search, content, community and personalization, we built a consumer-friendly home page that adds value and excitement for our users and advertisers.”

HP is one of the most trusted brands in the computing industry, including for laptops, desktop computers, and printers. If you go for an HP printer, you know you're going to get top-tier quality and value for your money, whether you're planning to buy a budget-friendly option or a premium model. While the primary purpose of all printers is the same -- transferring digital text and images onto physical media -- your life will become so much easier if you select the right one for your needs.

One of the main reasons for buying an HP printer is the HP Instant Ink program, which will make sure that you're never going to run out of ink or toner. Certain HP printers come with a free subscription that, when activated, will send you a new cartridge when your ink or toner levels are low. There's an overwhelming number of models of HP printers though, so take a look at our recommendations to help you decide what to buy.

A new folder is created on a blue iMac desktop.

The will-they-won’t-they saga around Apple’s likelihood of releasing a refresh of the 24-inch iMac anytime soon took another twist on Sunday after prominent Apple analyst Mark Gurman suggested the machine could land at the end of this month.

It follows a report last week via another Apple specialist, Ming-Chi Kuo, who claimed that the updated iMac won’t appear until 2024.

Intel’s Raptor Lake refresh prices have leaked, and hikes are on the way
An Intel processor over a dark blue background.

We're most likely just a couple of weeks away from the release date for the Intel Raptor Lake refresh, and while Intel itself hasn't said much about it, interesting tidbits of information leak out pretty frequently. Today, we got a good look at what might be the pricing of almost the entire lineup. And it looks like price increases are coming, however minor they may be.

We expected that a price hike was likely for the Raptor Lake refresh, and that's exactly what seems to be happening. As per a tip sent to VideoCardz, the majority of the 14th-Gen lineup appeared briefly at a Canadian retailer known as Canada Computers. While the CPUs weren't listed, they could be found by searching for the product names, and that gives an idea of what to expect. Keep in mind that these prices are in Canadian dollars.
