DT Daily: Data shows no women on Ashley Madison

In the wake of the Ashley Madison hack we now know that there were nearly no females on the site. An analysis of the data dump by Gizmodo shows the number of active female users is absolutely miniscule. While the site claimed 5.5 million female accounts existed, most of them are fake and only about 15 hundred women were ever active on the site. Compare that to the nearly 20 million men active on the site, and you’re left with a serious imbalance. Of course a slew of lawsuits are in progress.

A new report from market research firm IDC shows that with the introduction of the Apple Watch Apple quickly became the 2nd leading maker of wearable devices. Apple shipped 3.6 million Apple Watches in the second quarter of 2015. That’s not too far behind Fitbit, which shipped 4.4 million. The fact that Apple has gained so much ground so quickly might seem like bad news for Fitbit and other wearable makers. Most likely though it’s a sign of wider adoption of wearable tech going forward.

“There’s a lot going on,” Pressler said, “so how do we focus when there’s so much going on?” The first step of gaining focus, she says, is to acknowledge what’s going on -- not just with the constant barrage of news, but with yourself. “You might not be feeling like working at 100%, and that’s ok!” she says.
