This is the absolute best Echo deal for Cyber Monday: Echo Show 5 with Wyze Cam

There’s a whole bunch of Echo device deals for Cyber Monday, with the best deals coming from Amazon directly. But a deal we first uncovered on Black Friday continues to be the best Echo device deal available, and the bundle price is only good through Wednesday or while supplies last, so act quickly this Cyber Week.

Amazon paired its Echo Show 5 — already on sale for $50 during Black Friday weekend — with the Wyze Cam for just $10 more. You’d spend $116 if you buy them separately, but through Wednesday you can get this package for just $60, which is about as good as it gets.

The Echo Show 5 is the smallest video-enabled Echo device and replaced the Echo Spot. While the Spot was a good clock, its screen was too small to be useful for much else. Audio quality left much to be desired, too, but both of the Spot’s biggest issues are remedied with the Echo Show 5.

The device sports a 5-inch screen (thus its name) in a design reminiscent of a digital alarm clock. While it runs a bit slower than the larger Echos, for use in a bedroom or other small room it will do just fine. A privacy shutter also allows for privacy when you don’t want video calls.

We love the fact that it’s paired with the Wyze Cam. For those not in the know, Wyze has made a name for itself by producing some outstanding smart home products at prices far below its competitors. The Wyze Cam is no exception, and boasts great picture quality at an unbeatable price, and is by far one of our favorite security cameras on the market now.

Final hours: With everything from 4K TVs to 8K TVs available, these last-minute Cyber Week TV deals are your last chance to shop for this holiday season.

This particular camera is owned by quite a few of us at Digital Trends, and we’re plenty happy with its performance for the price. Perhaps its only negative right now involves occasional delays in receiving motion notifications, but otherwise, it’s a pretty solid product.

All you need to do is enable the Wyze skill to view your cameras right on your Echo Show 5 or any other video-enabled Echo device. While we think once you see just how well these Wyze Cams work, you’ll want more of them, and this package deal is a good place to start.

I tried the Amazon Echo Show 8, a smart display that transforms when you get close
The third-generation Amazon Echo Show 8.

If you’ve ever used the last Amazon Echo Show 8, you mostly have a pretty good idea of what you’re going to get with this updated model: a decent screen with which to see things, a surprisingly good speaker.

And that’s still true going into this new iteration, one of several new Echo devices announced today. Even in our crowded, noisy demo area after Amazon's fall devices event at its new HQ2 building in Arlington, Virginia, you could hear music (the sort your kids love) just fine. The speaker on this thing is still surprisingly good.
