The Nintendo Switch, and particularly the older model, doesn’t have the greatest battery life. If you plan on using your system in handheld mode for the majority of a day, you’re going to need an external battery pack to keep it fully charged. Nintendo has plenty of games that look wonderful when the Switch is connected to a television, but others are best experienced in handheld mode.
