Powerbeats Pro true wireless earbuds are down to just $200 for Cyber Monday

Beats

Even better than Black Friday, Cyber Monday is the time to take advantage of massive savings on popular electronics products. One of the best deals we’ve seen on headphones for Cyber Monday is for the high-end Powerbeats Pro totally wireless earphones, which are available now at Amazon for just $200 — a saving of $50 on the list price of $250.

We reviewed the Powerbeats Pro and were impressed by their compact design, with adjustable earhooks to hold them securely in place when you’re moving around. They come with four pairs of eartips so you can find just the right size for your ears, an adjustment that helps the sound quality tremendously. The controls on the buds are intuitive and functional, and the new H1 processor makes them extremely easy to pair. The audio quality has heavy bass which you’ll either love or hate, but the upper registers do have clear sound separation and lower harmonic distortion than previous models.

In fact, the only thing we didn’t like about the Powerbeats Pro was their price. Now that they’re on sale, they make a compelling option for wireless audio on the go.

If you’re looking for wireless earbuds like the Powerbeats, you may also be considering competitors like the Apple Airpods. In our comparison between the Powerbeats Pro and the Apple AirPods, we appreciated the Powerbeats’ water resistance which makes them more suitable for working out or wearing in the rain than the Apple-branded offering. We also liked the fit of the Powerbeats more, with our reviewer found them more secure and more comfortable than the AirPods. We even liked the sound for the Powerbeats better, finding it clear and detailed and making the AirPods sound muddy by comparison. Overall, we recommended the Powerbeats over the AirPods in most regards even when they cost $250. At $200, they’re a clear choice.

There are tons of other great savings to be had on electronics and other gadgets this Cyber Monday. To see all of the best deals on everything from 4K TVs to Apple Watches to Instant Pots, head over to our Cyber Monday deals hub which we’ll be keeping updated all day long with all the greatest offers.

Bang & Olufsen debuts waterproof Beoplay EX wireless earbuds
Close-up of Bang & Olufsen Beoplay EX wireless earbuds.

Bang & Olufsen (B&O) has launched its latest wireless earbuds, the $399 Beoplay EX, a model that builds on the technologies found in its previous earbuds by adding greater comfort, larger dynamic drivers, and more protection from dust and water. The Beoplay EX will be available in Anthracite Oxygen on May 5, Gold Tone on May 27, and Black Anthracite sometime in June 2022.

The biggest change from B&O's previous wireless earbuds is the shape. The Beoplay EX adopt a stem-style design that is similar to Apple's AirPods Pro. The company claims this new shape allows it to reduce the size of the housing that sits in your ear -- which should be more comfortable -- while at the same time letting it use a larger driver. The Beoplay EX incorporate a set of 9.2 millimeter dynamic drivers -- the largest ever used by B&O in a set of wireless earbuds. They'll produce a "significant upgrade in the power of each audio moment, without compromising on comfort," according to a company press release.

Creative’s Outlier Pro ANC earbuds have massive battery life
Man wearing Creative Outlier Pro ANC earbuds.

If you need a set of wireless earbuds that can last through an entire workday (and then some) without needing to be recharged, Creative's new $90 Outlier Pro might just fit the bill. With active noise cancellation (ANC), good water resistance, and the ability to run for up to 15 hours before you pop them back in their charging case, they've got more stamina than almost any other earbuds you can buy. They're available starting April 4, 2022, from the Creative online store.

At $90, the Outlier Pro are indeed outliers when it comes to battery life. Creative claims you'll get 10 hours per charge when using ANC, and up to 15 hours when you turn that feature off. When you include the capacity of their charging case, those numbers jump to 40 and 60 hours, respectively. To put that in context, to get a set of wireless earbuds with comparable stamina, you're looking at spending considerably more, with the $149 Audio-Technica ATH-CKS50TW (20 hours ANC off/50 hours total), or the $150 JVC HA-XC90T (15 hours/45 total). Plus, the Outlier Pro offer wireless charging, which is something neither Audio-Technica nor JVC include.
