Amazon drops prices of Fossil and Samsung smartwatches for Cyber Monday

The Apple Watch keeps getting better and remains to be one of the best smartwatches to date. iOS users will certainly not find a watch that would nearly be as compatible. However, if you identify more as an Android user, your options are significantly broader and you’ll have more chances at scoring cost-saving alternatives.

This Cyber Monday, Amazon encourages you to stay connected while being in tiptop shape with $110 discounts on the Fossil Sport and Samsung Gear Sport smartwatches.

Fossil Sport — $165 ($110 Off)

The Apple Watch sure flaunts a streamlined design and a signature look. Those who dare to be different with a snazzy youthful wearable will love that this sale on the Fossil Women’s Sport smartwatch is applicable in each of its nine colorways. Whether you’re going for something subtle or playful, you’ll always be able to add a dash of your personality by switching out its 18mm silicone band or by customizing its watch face. And if you got small wrists, you’d be thankful that Fossil went for a compact with a 41mm case that is 40% lighter than any other model with an aluminum case. Its 1.2-inch digital OLED display boasts a pixel resolution of 390 x 390 which makes for a colorful screen. Although its touchscreen’s brightness is limited under direct sunlight, it is no less of an optimal choice for those headed to the gym with a 4-out-of-5-star rating on our review.

As a fitness-centric watch, the Fossil Sport sets you up with an untethered GPS, built-in heart rate monitor, and water resistance to 5ATM that makes it swimproof. You are instantly equipped to track distance, fine-tune workouts according to your beats per minute, and even keep tabs on steps and calories burnt. Activity tracking is facilitated by the Google Fit app along with health coaching and goal-setting in the form of Move minutes and Heart Points.

The Fossil Sport packs the highly-anticipated wearable chipset from Qualcomm, the Snapdragon Wear 3100 with Google’s redesigned Wear OS. Its interface is now more user-friendly as you’ll only have to swipe and tap instead of having to memorize a ton of gestures. With 512GB of RAM, you’ll have no issue in launching media while 4GB of internal storage allows you to save music on the watch and pair it with Bluetooth headphones or earbuds to make the most out of a hands-free experience.

Bluetooth enables you to sync data collected with a compatible device and is capable of delivering smart notifications and other app alerts with a gentle buzz. NFC and Google Pay, on the other hand, would make contactless payments available. And something an Apple product has never been able to do, the Fossil Sport’s 350mAh battery can last a full day, or up to two days in low power mode, and can be charged up to 80% in less than an hour.

This holiday season, ladies can spare themselves from looking at the numbers on the scale and opt to keep themselves in check with this cool wearable available for just $165 instead of $275 on Amazon.

Samsung Gear Sport — $190 ($110 Off)

Another slick gym wearable, with a 4-star rating in our review to boot, is the Samsung Gear Sport. Sporting an affinity with the Fossil Sport smartwatch, it also has a 1.2-inch color display but it is now an AMOLED screen with a 360 x 360-pixel resolution fitted into a 42.9mm case. It also comes attached to a silicone band for a breathable fit that won’t bite into your skin and is likewise interchangeable with any 20mm band. And though it’s not the newest wearable, it is one of the best Android smartwatches with a tremendous battery life that lets you go nonstop for days.

It runs with the proprietary Tizen OS, and though the Gear Sport isn’t as fast as the Apple Watch Series 3, its performance is speedier than any Android Wear smartwatch in the market. With an innovative rotating bezel, 1GHz dual-core processor, and 768 GB of RAM, anyone would be able to enjoy its fluid interface even with an iOS device. Android users reap the benefit of being able to interact with every notification that comes through, thereby replicating much of what happens on their Android smartphones. Replies to text messages, for instance, can be done with voice, typing, or by simply tapping on quick canned responses or emojis. And with 4GB of internal storage, it is just as possible to download songs directly to your watch.

Fitness is also where Samsung’s Gear Sport undeniably shines with GPS mapping and a heart rate monitor to boost its activity tracking. The Samsung Health app intuitively records the basics and automatically detects your chosen workout after ten minutes including swimming with water resistance to 50 meters. It also syncs perfectly well with a myriad of third-party apps from Under Armour.

More than having access to smart notifications with Bluetooth and being able to pay on the go with Samsung Pay NFC compatibility, this wearable steps up with Wifi which makes it possible for you to control smart appliances such as lights, door locks, TVs, and more through Samsung Connect.

Samsung’s Gear Sport would normally set you back at $300, but Amazon drops its price to a more affordable $190. You can even push your luck by slashing $60 off its sale price with an approved Amazon Rewards Visa card.

Our bodies and minds are finicky; we might be having trouble sleeping because of a variety of reasons: It's too hot, it's too cold, you took an accidental nap after work, you're too stressed to sleep, your partner is snoring. The Google Pixel 4 is still on sale for Best Buy’s Cyber Week sale today
google pixel 3a review xl both hands on 2

Cyber Monday is over, but retailers like Best Buy are still offering Cyber Week deals today. Though not all of the discounts are as good as yesterday, now is still a good time to buy Google's latest Pixel smartphones thanks to a couple of smartphone deals for the Pixel 4 series. You've probably seen plenty of commercials for them by now, showing off how they're excellent at taking photographs -- especially when it comes to capturing the stars in the night sky. Well, if you waited until its post-launch day, you're going to be rewarded because Best Buy is discounting the phones heavily for Cyber Week alongside some Apple iPhone deals.

The big-box retailer is discounting the unlocked models of the Google Pixel 4 and 4 XL by $50, making the 64GB versions $750 and $850, respectively. These prices are a bit more reasonable, especially when the Pixel 4 retails for $800. If you think 64GB of storage isn't enough, then you can pay just an additional $100 to upgrade to the 128GB models
. These deals are outstanding when you factor in that they're unlocked, feature smooth scrolling with their 90Hz screens, and how they capture unbelievable, high-quality photos with their cameras.
