Garmin Vivosport — $112 ($58 Off)

Garmin’s Vivosport is a full-fledged fitness tracker that is capable of churning key metrics for steps, calories, distance over time, pace, and route which is further optimized with its built-in GPS and 24/7 wrist-based heart rate monitor. Moreover, with preloaded activity profiles including strength training and cardio, you have the flexibility to choose how you want to get moving. It’s also water-resistant to a depth of 50 meters so taking it out for a swim shouldn’t pose a problem.

If you’re quite susceptible to stress, the Vivosport gauges how you react to potential stressors and helps you take the edge off with breathing exercises. And to give you a better idea of your performance level, it estimates your VO2 max (maximum rate of oxygen consumed) as well as your fitness age.

The Garmin Vivosport pretty much nailed the design for minimalists. However, with no buttons whatsoever and a relatively small OLED touchscreen, you might find it easier to view all your stats and engage with the online fitness community through the Garmin Connect app. Pairing your iOS or Android device via Bluetooth will also let you access playback controls, smart notifications, and other app alerts. Should you be unlucky enough to have lost your smartphone, there’s a feature to secure its location while LiveTrack allows your friends to follow your activity.

The Vivosport is fun-sized in every way with a battery that the company says lasts up to seven days depending on use, though our review notes that it needed to be charged every other day. Either way, that shouldn’t be a dealbreaker considering its near-perfect 4.5-star rating and a slim profile that understates to the number of features it has. Grab it now for only $112 instead of $170 from Amazon.

Garmin Forerunner 35— $100 ($70 Off)

If you’re into running, you won’t be lagging behind with the Forerunner 35. Like the Vivosport, it also earned a 4.5-star rating in our review and it packs an untethered GPS, heart rate monitor, and a swim-proof design. While it could be considered a runner’s dream with crucial running metrics and run/walk modes that serve to boost performance and form, fitness enthusiasts will also appreciate its feature for all-day activity tracking. Rest assured, you’d be able to keep tabs on steps, calories burnt, intensity minutes, and it even sends you a reminder to get on the move when it senses you’ve been inactive.

Unlike the Vivosport, the Forerunner 35 has a monochrome LCD display and interaction is mostly done through each of the four buttons surrounding its bezel. You’ll have no issues with readability given its expansive 1.5 x 1.6-inch screen that gets bright enough in any light. It also makes for a lightweight and breathable fit at just 1.6 ounces and with more than a few notches to adjust its fit. Since the watch case isn’t fixed to the default silicone band, you can switch it out for another color or material to match your style.

Bluetooth is also responsible for syncing the Forerunner 5 with your compatible device to enable music controls, smart notifications, and other app alerts. Collected data from this GPS running watch is also automatically uploaded to the Garmin Connect app.

Usually priced at $170, Amazon’s $70 price cut makes Garmin’s Forerunner 35 available at just $100.
