Whether you’re shopping for your first smart home device or looking to expand an already existing smart home ecosystem, a smart thermostat like the Google Nest E is a must-have. By giving you full remote control of your home’s cooling and heating systems (including scheduling timers) via the Nest mobile app, the Nest Thermostat E can pay for itself over time with the money you’ll save on energy bills. The thermostat can even use your phone’s location to detect when you’re away so you aren’t wasting money by running the A/C and heater when you’re not at home. The Google Nest Thermostat E is our favorite budget smart thermostat, and the Home Depot Memorial Day Sale lets you score it for even less after a $30 discount shaves the price down to $139.

iRobot Braava Jet Robot Mop — $180, was $215

iRobot Braava Jet 240 review
Jenny McGrath/Digital Trends

Robot vacs are great, but sweeping is only one part of the job of keeping your floors clean — you also need a mop. The iRobot Braava Jet is the perfect robot mop for the job: It utilizes a precision jet spray and vibrating cleaning head to give wet and sticky messes a one-two punch of cleaning power, and along with the wet mopping mode, it also features damp and dry sweeping modes (for standard dry messes, though, you’ll want a full-featured robot vac like the Roomba 675 we included below). You can also easily program the Braava Jet’s schedule as well as cleaning zones to keep it out of rooms you don’t want or need it in. A $36 Memorial Day discount lets you grab the iRobot Braava Jet robot mob for a very affordable $180 right now.

Ecobee SmartThermostat — $199, was $225

If the Google Nest E caught your eye but you’re willing to pay a little more for what is arguably the best smart thermostat on the market, then the Ecobee is well worth the upgrade in our opinion. Along with giving you complete control of the temperature in your home, the Ecobee includes a SmartSensor module that allows the thermostat to automatically adjust a common room in the house (such as the living room) based on occupancy and current temperature. Another nice feature you get with the Ecobee is built-in Alexa A.I. for easy hands-free voice control. The top-of-the-line full-feature Ecobee SmartThermostat can be yours for $199 after a $25 price cut, making it not that much more expensive than the more bare-bones Nest Thermostat E.

iRobot Roomba 675 Robot Vacuum Cleaner — $270, was $325

With dual-surface brushes and a three-stage cleaning system that loosens, lifts, and sucks up dirt on both hard and carpeted floors. This is part of what makes the Roomba 675 one of the best robot vacs for tackling pet hair, but what makes this little unit really shine is its bevy of smart features like automatic dirt detection, real-time navigation and obstacle detection, and automatic recharging. The iRobot Home app also lets you remotely control your Roomba and set schedules. If you have an Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant smart home ecosystem, you can connect the Roomba 675 with it for easy voice commands as well. The iRobot Roomba line can get pretty pricey (the high-end models will set you back nearly a grand), but the Home Depot Memorial Day Sale means this robotic helper can be yours for $270 after a $54 savings.

Google Nest x Yale Smart Lock — $239, was $279

Nest X Yale Lock Review
Nest x Yale

If you’re looking for the best smart lock system for a Google Home ecosystem, look no further than the Nest x Yale. This keyless deadbolt installs in minutes and utilizes a touchpad that unlocks the door with a private keycode — meaning there are no keys, lockpicking, or other security pitfalls to worry about. The Nest x Yale smart lock works perfectly with Google Assistant, and the companion app logs who comes and goes, allows you to give unique keycodes to select people, and even lets you set scheduled for when certain guests (such as a babysitter or a cleaner) are allowed to enter your home. The app can also be used to unlock your door remotely when needed. For $239, down from $279, the Nest x Yale Smart Lock is a great full-featured security addition to any Google-based smart home setup.

Best dishwasher deals: cheapest Samsung, LG, GE and KitchenAid sales
An LG dishwasher with an open door in a kitchen.

Having to deal with cleaning and washing plates after every meal can get exhausting, especially since we often don't feel like doing much after eating. That's where a great dishwasher can come in handy since it can save you a lot of trouble when it comes to cleaning up after cooking and eating. Even better, dishwashers tend to be more efficient when it comes to using water, making them more environmentally friendly than just cleaning everything by hand.

Of course, there is a huge variety when it comes to dishwashers, and it can vary much depend on your needs and what sort of new appliance you opt for. For example, if you don't have a lot of under the counter space to put a dishwasher, you can grab a countertop dishwasher, which is very handy. Alternatively, maybe you want something that can connect to your phone and let you schedule the dishwasher, or notify you when it's done so that you aren't checking on it constantly. Either way, there are a lot of options, which is why we've dredged through all the big retailers to find some of our favorite dishwasher deals so that you don't have to.

Best portable power station deals: Bluetti, EcoFlow, and more
Bluetti AC300 portable power station

Maybe you know already, or maybe you don't, but not all generators are gas-powered. The downside to a gas generator is, besides needing the fuel itself, you can't use them in various configurations. For example, you should never place a gas generator inside. That's super inconvenient in bad weather like the rain or cold. But portable power stations, on the other hand, which utilize electricity, even solar energy, can be placed indoors. They're safe because they're emission-free. They can also replace traditional gas generators to provide backup power for your home, or if you're living off-grid. Plus, it's all in the name. They're portable so you can use them virtually anywhere, like when you're camping, on outdoor adventures, by the pool, in your backyard during a party or barbecue, and much more. They can also be pretty expensive depending on the capacity you need, but deals and discounts go a long way towards making them both more affordable and more accessible. That's precisely why we've gathered up all of the best portable power station deals right here, in one place.
