RingCentral offers 3 free months of VoIP to organizations impacted by Coronavirus

Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) provider RingCentral announced it will offer three months of free VoIP service for a series of select organizations, due to the disruption caused by the coronavirus pandemic (also known as COVID-19).

The list includes educators who may want to stay in touch with their students, health providers who need to check in with patients without being physically present, as well as nonprofit organizations who are simply trying to help ordinary folk at the best of times.

Setting up a VoIP service is remarkably easy to do these days, and only takes a matter of a few steps with RingCentral being one of the best in the business.

In the past, many businesses have switched over to VoIP dropping landlines in favor of the enhanced reliability and better prices that stem from using the internet to make calls rather than landlines or even cell phone networks. Think of it as like Skype but supercharged and perfectly geared toward business needs.

Other VoIP services exist like Jive Voice and Verizon Business Digital Voice, but RingCentral is one of the best out there.

It’s highly affordable and easily allows for multiple users, as well as offers extensive video conferencing capabilities. While basic landlines often cost between $15 and $30 per month, RingCentral starts at $20 per month per user and allows unlimited calls within the U.S. and Canada as well as voicemail-to-text capabilities. The better package, however, is the Standard subscription for $25 per month per user. You gain unlimited video conferencing for up to four people per meeting on top of those features. Of course, right now, RingCentral is a no-brainer of a deal if you’re eligible as you’ll get to enjoy its services for three months.

Crucially, it entitles users to the RingCentral Office package which includes up to 100 participants per video meeting, so it’s super useful for nonprofits, healthcare providers or schools in need of a little assistance during this challenging time.

Three months in, we reckon you’ll be converted to the advantages of VoIP over the traditional and basic landline.

Eligible companies can sign up at RingCentral to gain their 3 months free trial.

This popular Dell business laptop is discounted from $849 to $579
Dell Vostro 14 sitting on a table

If you're looking for a solid business laptop that's both portable and won't break the bank, then you'll be very happy with the Vostro 14. Not only is it highly rated, but it's still packed with features for being such a small device, and while it can be a little bit pricey at MSRP, you can get it for a steep discount. Dell has knocked an impressive $270 off the usual $849 price tag, bringing it down to a much more affordable $579, making it an excellent deal if you've been looking for a new device.

Why you should buy the Vostro 14
For being only a small 14-inch laptop, the Vostro 14 has some pretty good specs and a couple of ones that maybe should have been slightly better. For example, you get 16GB of DDR4 RAM, which is really excellent, especially for a more business-oriented laptop, so you can open a lot of apps and tabs at the same time. On the other hand, you only get an Intel Core i5-1335U, which is a mid-range processor, and while it's absolutely fine for business work and productivity, it would have been nice to get the higher-end Intel Core i7-1355U for a bit extra power and versatility.

Best PlayStation Plus Deals: Save on Essential, Plus and Premium
Best PS Plus deals

While the PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 are excellent consoles, especially for those who don't want to invest in a gaming PC, you tend to lose out on a lot if you don't have one of Sony's online subscriptions. You see, a PlayStation Plus (PS Plus) subscription offers, is access to online multiplayer, and without it, you can't connect to online servers and play with other folks, which is a bit frustrating. Luckily, a PS Plus membership does offer some additional features, such as free games every month and access to some older PS games, all of which depend on which of the three tiers you subscribe to: Essential, Extra, and Premium.
What is PlayStation Plus?
Along with online multiplayer and other in-game network features, a PlayStation Plus Essential membership grants you access to exclusive discounts and other promotions. Perhaps the most notable benefit of PlayStation Plus is that every month, Sony gives subscribers one PlayStation 5 and two PlayStation 4 games that are free to download. You have one month to add these free PlayStation Plus games to your library.

After that, these titles are yours to keep so long as you have an active PlayStation Plus subscription. The free-to-download games are generally pretty good (they are often some of the best PS4 games that have been out for a little while), and these alone justify the cost of PS Plus even for people who don't do a lot of online gaming.
