What’s happened? Amazon’s cloud gaming service, Luna, just got a major revamp with a wider selection of games and new features.

  • The redesign makes Luna accessible on more devices, including Fire TV, smartphones, tablets, browsers, and select smart TVs from LG and Samsung, with a Prime membership being the only requirement.
  • It introduces GameNight, a new collection of over 25 local multiplayer games, “designed to bring friends and family together in the living room.”
  • Amazon says Luna also includes access to popular PC titles like Hogwarts Legacy, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, Kingdom Come: Deliverance II, and TopSpin 2K25.

Why is this important? The redesign signals Amazon’s push to expand access to Luna and offer subscribers more value with its Prime membership.

  • By adding new couch co-op games with GameNight, Amazon could convince more subscribers to try its cloud gaming service.
  • The broader device support also lowers the barrier to entry, allowing subscribers to enjoy the new multiplayer titles without needing new hardware.

Why should I care? If you’re subscribed to Amazon Prime, this revamp adds more value to your membership.

  • It also gives you the chance to enjoy a growing library of multiplayer games without needing dedicated gaming hardware.
  • Luna’s GameNight collection makes it easy to have a fun time with family or friends, and could make your next hangout a lot more fun.

What’s next? The redesigned cloud gaming service is available for Prime members in the US, UK, Canada, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Austria, the Netherlands, Poland, Sweden, Portugal, Belgium, and Luxembourg.

  • It includes access to the new GameNight library and a selection of PC titles. However, users will need a controller or keyboard and mouse for the latter.
  • Amazon is also offering a Luna Premium subscription that unlocks more titles, including EA Sports FC 25, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, and Batman: Arkham Knight for $9.99 per month.

GTA VI finally gets a price tag and a no-disc rule for physical edition
It will be a single-player experience when it lands on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S on November 19th.

Rockstar Games has finally confirmed the asking price of its highly anticipated game, Grand Theft Auto VI aka GTA 6. The game is going to cost $79.99 in the US for the standard edition, and if you're willing to plonk extra cash on the Ultimate Edition, you will have to part ways with $99.99 per copy. Pre-orders for the game are starting today, June 26th, at midnight, and you will be able to reserve a copy for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series S, and Xbox Series X.

The asking price is definitely on the higher side. However, it's still below the $100+ speculations that were floating just a few weeks ago. By PC and console gaming standards, $80 as a starting price is still quite a high fee. So far, only Nintendo has been able to sell games with a similar price tag and has courted plenty of backlash for it, as well.

Netflix just unveiled Unhinged, and it might be the strangest thing the streamer has ever put in its games tab. Arriving June 30, this interactive horror story does not need a console or controller. Instead, your own smartphone becomes the entire interface, and you receive phone calls that ring straight through your actual device mid-game.
