The deals alternate between proper PlayStation 5 games and PlayStation 4 games that can be upgraded to their next-generation counterpart free of charge. Watch Dogs:Legion — $25, was $30
Watch Dogs: Legion may just have come out, but it’s already getting a major discount, making it one of the cheapest next-generation games available yet. The PlayStation 5 version of Ubisoft’s new open-world game is only $30, which is a full 50% price cut. While the game had a rocky launch, Ubisoft recently committed to fixing the game’s outstanding issues through the rest of the year. That’s a healthy sign for the game’s future, making the low-cost entry point particularly enticing. If nothing else, it’s one of the cheapest ways to get a physical PlayStation 5 game case on your shelf this early in the console’s life cycle.
Just Dance 2010 — $30, was $50
The Just Dance series is something of a phenomenon, giving families a fun rhythm game to play together. NBA 2K21 Mamba Forever Edition — $80, was $100
Out of any next-generation game, NBA 2K21 might be the one that makes the most of the PlayStation 5’s improved graphics. The basketball title features some uncanny visuals that are easy to mistake as real life at a passing glance. Those who want to pick up a copy can get the Mama Forever Edition for $20 off, which includes a ton of digital extras and currencies. Marvel’s Avengers is perhaps the best video game deal around this Black Friday. Sqaure Enix’s live service superhero game is down to $25, more than 50% off its normal price. The drastic price cut comes just as the game is about to get its first big post-launch release, which adds Kate Bishop to the game alongside new story content. While the proper next-generation version won’t release until 2021, players who pick up a PS4 copy will get a free upgrade to the PlayStation 5 version when the update drops.
Doom Eternal — $20, was $60
Doom Eternal is one of 2020’s best shooters, just landing a game of the year nomination at this year’s Game Awards. Bethesda’s sequel to 2016’s standout Doom reboot ups the ante with more guns, abilities, and demons to slay. It recently received its first piece of DLC, The Ancient Gods Part 1, so the package is more appealing than ever. The PlayStation 4 version includes a free upgrade to the PlayStation 5 edition, so $20 is an incredibly low price after factoring all of that in.
Madden NFL 21 — $28, was $60
The latest installment of the long-running Madden franchise brings some notable new features to the football game. The new Yard mode adds a six-person backyard sports experience to the game, while the Face of the Franchise option adds a single-player experience that takes your player from college to the big leagues. Borderlands 3 may have come out over a year ago, but Gearbox Software’s looter-shooter is still going strong with support. The content pack brought new skill trees and the Arms Race mode, which is a new roguelike experience. The game will get even more content in 2021 when a Director’s Cut DLC releases.
