Best Xbox One deals: How to buy the discontinued console

Add as a preferred source on Google

The Xbox One has been officially discontinued, but that doesn’t mean it’s unattainable. If you prefer the console over the new Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S, you can still buy refurbished units from retailers like Amazon. With its expansive library of games that will keep both casual and hardcore players busy for a long time, the Xbox One remains a meaningful purchase, despite Microsoft’s rollout of its new generation of consoles. While it struggled against Sony’s PlayStation 4 due to a rocky launch in 2013 because of a limited selection of titles and a higher price tag, the Xbox One gracefully recovered. Helping it bounce back were console exclusives from the Halo, Forza, and Gears of War series. If you’re planning to buy the Xbox One to enjoy video game deals on these exclusive titles, as well as popular cross-platform games like Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, Cyberpunk 2077, Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, and Red Dead Redemption 2, we’ve gathered the best Xbox One deals available online to help you in your search.

Another important characteristic of the Xbox One is its fantastic multimedia capabilities, with the Xbox One S being one of the most affordable 4K media players available on the market. The Xbox One S and the more powerful Xbox One X both boast a 4K Blu-ray player, a feature that isn’t found in the PlayStation 4 Pro. For gamers who also want the option to watch their favorite movies and TV shows in crisp 4K from their console, the Xbox One is the machine for you.

While Microsoft’s focus has entirely shifted toward the Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S, there are a few refurbished console deals available. This means that if you’re planning to invest in the console, you’ll be able to take advantage of Xbox One bundles as well as discounts on Xbox One games. You should also take the opportunity to stock up on Xbox One accessories, such as extra controllers, so that you’ll always have a spare on hand in case something goes wrong with the one you’re using or you want to play with friends and family members.

Since the difference between the Xbox One and the Xbox Series S and X is only a couple hundred dollars, we would be remiss not to encourage you to just grab the newer generation of console. But there are certainly reasons you might want the Xbox One instead, so here are the best deals on the Xbox One S and Xbox One S.

Xbox One S vs Xbox One X

Microsoft has discontinued the Xbox One S and Xbox One X, but you’ll still be able to buy new and refurbished stocks of these consoles as retailers are looking to unload them. If you’ve decided to buy the Xbox One, how do you choose between these two versions of the console?

The primary difference between the two consoles is the power that’s packed into the Xbox One X. Its graphics chip features 40 compute units, compared to just 12 for the Xbox One S, with a CPU that offers an approximate 30% increase in clock speed. The Xbox One X enables 4K gaming, with many games supporting 60 frames per second at 4K resolution. In comparison, the Xbox One S is only capable of streaming videos and playing Blu-ray discs in 4K.

However, you can play the same games on both consoles, so if you want a cheaper choice and don’t care much about 4K resolution, you should go for the Xbox One S. It’s also easier to find new stocks of Xbox One S bundles, though you can still certainly find new Xbox One X bundles if you don’t give up easily.

Shopping for Back-to-school? These are the gaming laptops I’d recommend
Powerful enough for AAA games, practical enough for everyday lectures, assignments, and everything in between.
oled gaming laptop

Every gamer knows the pain of trying to do too much with the wrong hardware. Back-to-School is the perfect excuse to fix that. A good gaming laptop shouldn’t just hit high frame rates -- it should also survive endless browser tabs, assignments, coding sessions, video edits, and everything else college throws at it. These five machines strike that balance better than most, which is exactly why they’d be my picks this semester.

Sega’s Virtua Fighter Crossroads is coming to Nvidia’s wild new RTX Spark PCs

Computer Hardware, Electronics, Hardware

Nvidia’s new RTX Spark platform has landed one of its first major games. Sega has confirmed that Virtua Fighter Crossroads will run on RTX Spark-powered laptops and compact desktop PCs when the game arrives in 2027. More Sega titles are also heading to the platform, although neither company has named them yet.

The announcement also marks more than 30 years of collaboration between Nvidia and Sega, a relationship that began when Nvidia’s NV1 graphics chip helped bring the original Virtua Fighter to PC. Sega later helped keep the young chipmaker alive by turning a $5 million payment into an investment when Nvidia was close to running out of money.

TCL’s inkjet-printed OLED technology finally reaches a commercial laptop through Lenovo
Computer, Electronics, Laptop

TCL has spent years saying inkjet-printed OLED could improve image quality, efficiency, lifespan, and manufacturing costs. Back in 2024, the company was still showing prototype laptop panels and promising a “comprehensive breakthrough” once the technology was ready for commercial products.

Two years later, it has finally arrived in a gaming laptop. Lenovo’s new Legion R9000P uses a 16-inch panel that TCL CSOT describes as the world’s first inkjet-printed OLED display integrated into a laptop.
