Crysis 2 “Be the Weapon” trailer

The first quarter of next year is shaping up to be a ridiculously awesome one for gamers, with one major release coming after another. But of all the heavyweight franchises coming out soon, one of the most anticipated is going to be one of the least played as well.

When the original Crysis debuted on the PC, it gained a certain distinction as being almost unplayable at its highest graphical settings. The graphics were so demanding, that most systems simply could not handle them, no matter how good the graphics card or processor were. Even now, few systems can handle the game at its highest resolution. And yet, Crysis managed to build off that exclusivity, enough so that a sequel was greenlit.

Thankfully for us mere mortals with average gaming systems and consoles, Crytek decided that they made their point with the original game’s graphics, and Crysis 2 will be released on console, as well as PC. But while the graphics might not be quite as good as the ridiculously graphically intense original was, it is still looking like one of the best games ever made.

Of course, while graphics are nice, the gameplay needs to match for a game to be worth playing. Judging by the trailer below, that has been taken care of as well. Using the brand new CryEngine 3, Crysis 2 is looking good in every sense of the word.

Modern Warfare 3 preload guide: release time, file size, and preorder

Load your mags and get ready to go weapons hot because Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is so close you can nearly smell the gunpowder. The Call of Duty franchise has yet to miss a year since the original Modern Warfare, and even though this is the second Modern Warfare 3 we've had, this is obviously a completely new battlefield. Not only will the campaign wrap up the globe-trotting plotline set up in the prior two games, but you can expect the usual suite of modes, including multiplayer, zombies, and tie-ins with the hit Warzone 2. With the betas all concluded, fans are left with nothing to look forward to except the full release, but there is still a way to get ready. Here's all the intel you need on preloading Modern Warfare 3.

If you have preordered Modern Warfare 3, you will get a full week of early access to the campaign starting at 10 a.m. PT on November 2 or your local equivalent. For everyone else, the game will launch on November 10. Preloading will begin starting at 10 a.m. PT on November 1.

RoboCop: Rogue City: release date speculation, trailers, gameplay, and more

"Dead or alive, you're coming with me!" The classic RoboCop movies, particularly the original, were a groundbreaking take on crime and police in a near-future version of Detroit. While the reality surrounding those things has moved in quite a different direction than the film predicted, it's still a great concept and an awesome piece of '80s nostalgia. RoboCop himself, though, has never really been done justice when he's been translated into games. We got a handful of early games on systems like the NES and SNES, but they were not quite able to really capture the feel of being a walking tank on the streets of Detroit.

First announced in 2021, RoboCop: Rogue City looks to finally put you behind the mask of RoboCop. However, being such a beloved film, there's a reasonable amount of hesitancy surroundings this adaptation.
