While it seemed silly at first to see Sonic driving a car, the blue blur's racing games have become some of the best Sonic games of all time. Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds is the upcoming video game that will take this racer to new worlds. Sadly, we don't know when it will arrive, but that doesn't mean you have to wait long to get your hands on it. Sega is hosting a closed network test so let's show you how to sign up and participate.

How to sign up for the Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds closed test

You don't need anything but a valid email address and a PS5 to play Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds to be eligible for the test. Just make sure you sign up by February 19. After this date, signups will be closed and you will not be eligible to play in the test.

Even though the game is coming to other platforms, only PS5 players will be able to play this closed test.

Step 1: Visit the official Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds Sega site.

Step 2: Scroll down and click Closed Network Test.

Step 3: Read the rules and enter your email in the field.

You will also need to provide your date of birth, full name, country, and platform. You will also be subscribed to other Sega emails.

Step 4: Wait until February 20 when all the people who are selected will be notified and given instructions on how to access the test.

Signing up does not guarantee you will get a spot in the test, but it isn't a first-come first-served system so you have just a good a chance as anyone else if you register by February 19.

If you do get selected, the test will run from February 21 at 4:00 pm P.T. until February 23 at 4:00 pm P.T. and have access to six tracks, five cross worlds, nine characters, and 16 vehicles. The characters in the test include: * Sonic * Tails * Amy * Knuckles * Shadow * Eggman * Omega * Zazz * Cream

Finally, anyone who is chosen and participates will get an exclusive in-game bonus when the full game launches.

Monster Hunter Wilds: how to play with friends
Two hunters ride mounts in Monster Hunter Wilds.

If you're new to the franchise and don't know all the tips and tricks yet, arguably the most important thing to know is that Monster Hunter Wilds is designed to be played with friends. You can get by with just your Palico for the first few hours, but the more deadly monsters will require a team of hunters. You can always call in support hunters if you're alone, but Monster Hunter Wilds is completely cross-platform so the best option is to call in your friends. If you don't know how to get your team together, we will answer your SOS flare.

How customize your radial menu in Monster Hunter Wilds
A still from the cinematic trailer for Monster Hunter Wilds at Summer Game Fest 2024.

You won't get far in Monster Hunter Wilds without items. It is a basic tip to learn, but having easy access to your most needed items is just as important as mastering your weapons or calling in your friends to join in on the hunt. Your radial menu allows you to quickly select and use all your equipment on the fly, but may not be set up how you want it by default. Thankfully you can easily customize this menu so all the items you want are in the places that feel most natural.

How to use the wishlist in Monster Hunter Wilds
Gemma working the forge in Monster HUnter WIlds.

The core loop of Monster Hunter Wilds is unchanged from previous entries; hunt monsters, gather materials, and either forge or upgrade gear. You will repeat this process dozens, maybe even hundreds, of times over the course of your journey taking on bigger and more deadly beasts with friends. In previous entries, you would need to either remember or otherwise take note of what materials you were missing for your next upgrade in order to get them, but no longer. There's a new wishlist feature that the game doesn't do a great job of teaching you the value of or how to use it. Here are all the tips and tricks everyone should learn about the wishlist in Monster Hunter Wilds.
How to use the wishlist

To use the wishlist, you first need to talk to Gemma at the forge. Choose to either browse the new armor or weapons and find the piece of equipment you want next but lack all the materials to make right away. From here, press the Sub Menu button to bring up a hidden list of options where you can add it to your wishlist.
