Completing the Lyre Myth Challenge

Throughout the world of Immortals Fenyx Rising, you’ll often come across several Big Lyres. These Big instruments are tied to Small Lyres hidden throughout each section of the map. In order to get to the Small Lyres, you’ll need to complete a few environmental puzzles. With the completion of each puzzle, you’ll be able to access the Small Lyre, where you will both hear and see a melody that can be played. This melody is to be played to the region’s Big Lyre. To play the melody, shoot the individual strings of the Big Lyre with your bow. Be sure to recreate the sequence of strings the Small Lyre played.

Playing the pattern on the Big Lyre will open a gate where you’ll find Coins of Charon. Coins of Charon are awesome because they unlock some of the most important skills and abilities for Fenyx. And the reality is, the Lyre Challenges are some of the fastest ways for you to get these upgrades.

What’s really great, though, is that you don’t need to find every Small Lyre to solve the puzzles. This guide will detail how to find the Big Lyres and what tunes to play. You’re welcome to continue to hunt for the Small Lyres, but if you’re interested in getting those sweet upgrades fast, you can bypass finding them and go straight to playing the Big Lyre once you find it.

To better understand this guide, we’re going to number the strings one through four, with one being the leftmost string on the Big Lyre.

Clashing Rocks Big Lyre location and notes

The first location with a Big Lyre you’re likely to run into is the Clashing Rocks lyre. This Big Lyre location is closer to the beginning of the game, just slightly southeast of the Messenger of the Gods statue. If you find a high point, you should be able to see it. This area has three different solutions.

  • 2, 4, 1
  • 4, 3, 4, 1
  • 3, 1, 2, 4, 4

Valley of Eternal Spring Big Lyre location and notes

The Big Lyre here is fairly easy to find, as it’s right next to the Hall of the Gods. Or, depending on where you came in from, it’s northwest of the Goddess of Love statue. This location has four different Small Lyres, but these are the solutions.

  • 2, 4, 1, 3
  • 4, 2, 1, 4, 2
  • 3, 2, 3, 1, 4
  • 1, 3, 2, 4, 2, 1

Grove of Kelos Big Lyre location and notes

This Big Lyre is in the Grove of Kelos, just south of the Goddess of Wisdom statue. Be sure to locate Athena’s statue and scan around for the lyre. There are three solutions to this Big Lyre.

  • 2, 4, 1
  • 1, 4, 3
  • 2, 1, 3, 4

The Forgelands Big Lyre location and notes

Head out to the Forgelands to find the next Big Lyre. If you go east from the God of the Forge statue (Hephaistos), you’ll find the Big Lyre. This area also has only three solutions for the Big Lyre.

  • 3, 2, 1
  • 1, 3, 2, 3
  • 1, 4, 1, 3

War’s Den Big Lyre location and notes

Once at War’s Den, head west from the God of War statue to see the Big Lyre. Or, if it’s easier, head to the Giant’s Fall fast travel point. That should put you pretty close to where the Big Lyre is, or, at the very least, it should make the Big Lyre easily visible. This region has four Small Lyres for you to play to get the Coins of Charon.

  • 1, 1, 4, 2, 3
  • 2, 3, 1, 4, 2, 4
  • 2, 1, 3, 2, 3, 4
  • 3, 1, 1, 2, 4, 3

King’s Peak Big Lyre location and notes

King’s Peak is where you’ll find the sixth and final lyre for the challenge. Head to King’s Peak and look for the giant statue of an eagle. It may be difficult to locate through the snow, but if you search hard enough, you should see it. If it’s easier, the Big Lyre is directly west of the King of Gods statue. There are three solutions to pick up here.

  • 1, 4, 2, 3
  • 2, 2, 4, 2, 3
  • 3, 4, 4, 2, 3

The best weapons in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom
Link holding the master sword in the clouds.

Prior to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Link's arsenal of weapons was usually limited to a couple of options. You could count on having a sword, a ranged weapon like a bow, and a handful of other weapons. But since The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom continues with the weapon durability system from that game, Link will be swapping out weapons far more frequently.

Since just about anything can be used as a weapon, even a stick, the power difference between the worst and best weapons is massive. Just as massive, however, is the size of Hyrule this time around. That can make the best, more unique weapons far more difficult to get your hands on. If you're trying to gear up before taking the fight to Ganon, here are the best weapons and where to find them in Tears of the Kingdom.

Where to get Hylian rice in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom
Link looking shocked holding rice.

While technically an action-adventure game, you could easily call The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom a collectathon game as well. You will be scooping up hundreds of items, from ingredients and ores to weapons and monster parts. These are all useful for at least one thing, if not many, and the more difficult they are to find, the more useful they tend to be. Hylian rice may not sound all that valuable or rare, but it has already stumped many players looking for it, especially when trying to complete the "Gourmets Gone Missing" side quest. If you need this versatile cooking ingredient, here's where you can find it in Tears of the Kingdom.
Where to get Hylian rice

Buying Hylian rice is by far the easiest and most reliable way to get this cooking ingredient. It's also cheap, so you won't have to farm a ton of Rupees to afford it. There are five places where you can pick some up, and they all sell it for the same price of just 12 Rupees.
