‘Metro: Last Light’ announces four DLCs and a season pass

metrolastlightDeep Silver and 4A Games announced today that four single player DLC expansions to Metro: Last Light will be released this summer on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC. The Faction Pack and Chronicle Pack will include new missions that help to expand the core story, while the Tower Pack will offer a “unique solo challenges to Metro veterans.” The “Developer Pack” is a bit different from the rest and seems to be less about the story, and instead will provide “interesting tools” for “creative players.”

The publisher did not reveal individual prices for each DLC, but the season pass that is available today on all platforms, costs just $14.99 (1220 MS points). The Pass includes all four expansions (starting with the Faction Pack in June), as well as a new semi-automatic shotgun called the Abzats, featuring a secondary fire that unleashes six shells at once.

PlayStation Plus members get an additional 25-percent off the season pass until June 4 in the U.S. (June 5 in Europe and elsewhere).

“Artyom’s story may have been concluded in Metro: Last Light, but there are other characters with stories to tell, some familiar locations that fans of the Metro series wanted to revisit, and some new challenges that 4A wanted to explore,” said Andrew Prokhorov, Creative Director at developer 4A Games. “Since completing the game we have been working on these new stories and hope to release them throughout the summer.”

One of 2023’s best indie games is getting a movie starring LaKeith Stanfield
James descends on an elevator in El Paso, Elsewhere.

El Paso, Elsewhere, one of Digital Trends' favorite indie games of 2023, now has a film adaptation in the works.

Variety reports that LaKeith Stanfield -- an actor known for his work in films like Judas and the Black Messiah, Knives Out, and Haunted Mansion, as well as TV shows like Atlanta -- is going to star in and produce the film. The adaptation is in the works at Di Bonaventure Pictures, the production company behind the Transformers, G.I. Joe, and The Meg film franchises. Little else is known about the film at this time, although we'd presume it will be a fairly direct adaptation of this intense story-driven game.
