Don’t Starve Together is finally coming to iOS and Android on July 21, and this one has me genuinely excited. I have spent a lot of time with the PC version, and it remains one of my favorite multiplayer survival sandbox games because of how quickly a normal session can turn into complete chaos.

Klei Entertainment’s gloomy, strange, and unforgiving survival game is being ported to mobile by Playdigious. Preorders and preregistrations are live now, and the game is available at a 10 percent launch discount, bringing the price down to $8.99 from the usual $9.99.

Why this mobile port has my attention

Don’t Starve Together is the standalone multiplayer version of Don’t Starve. You gather resources, craft gear, build a base, farm, hunt, explore The Constant, and deal with all kinds of bizarre creatures and hazards. You can play privately with friends, join others online, or survive alone if you want to make things harder for yourself.

The original single-player mobile version, Don’t Starve Pocket Edition, appears to have had some trouble translating the PC controls to a phone screen. A game like this depends heavily on quick inventory management, crafting, movement, and combat, so the control layout can make or break the experience.

Playdigious gives me more confidence here. The studio previously delivered the excellent mobile port of Dead Cells, a RogueVania I spent a lot of time with, so there is a good reason to be optimistic about this version.

What is new on mobile

Playdigious has revamped the interface for mobile screens and added touch controls built for smaller devices. The game will also support controllers, which should be useful for longer sessions. Newer players will also be able to adjust the difficulty, making it easier to explore The Constant without dealing with the full brutality the game is usually known for.

Other mobile features include Game Center achievements, cloud saves across Android and iOS devices, and iPhone 17 optimization, including the iPhone 17 Pro Max. Cosmetic items will also be available through in-app purchases.

Veteran players get a useful perk as well. Klei has confirmed that Steam players will be able to transfer their skins to the mobile version through a Klei account. It is currently unclear whether players on other platforms, including Nintendo Switch, will get the same option.

New study finds gaming doesn’t rot your brain, but compulsive habits can
Your 100-hour save file may be innocent after all
Man gaming on a PC Computer

For years, parents have believed that long playtime hours are harming their teenagers' brains. A new study has suggested otherwise. It seems like the number of hours spent gaming isn't what's causing the real harm. Researchers found that the number of hours adolescents spent gaming carried small positive associations with certain cognitive abilities.

The warning signs emerged more clearly among teenagers showing symptoms of compulsive or dysregulated gaming. So if someone faces loss of control while gaming, can't deny the craving, uses deception to continue playing despite the negative consequences, they are the ones actually in danger.

ASUS drops new ROG GR70 AMD Ryzen-powered gaming mini PC

When you think of a gaming PC, you likely picture a massive tower cabinet with tons of RGB. But ASUS is bringing high-end power, without taking up your entire desk space. The new ROG GR70 is a gaming mini PC that squeezed some seriously capable AMD and Nvidia components into a chassis that occupies less than three liters.

The ROG GR70 was originally announced a couple of months ago and later appeared at CES 2026. It is finally available to purchase in the US. It joins the recently unveiled ROG NUC 16 that packs the top-end Intel processor, and its pricing is almost as painful.
